Cleveland Hearing Aid Center

Cleveland Hearing Aid Center refuses to return the full, agreed upon Reimbursement balance. Hearing Aids were returned and received in like new condition on 5/17/17, with the understanding that processing would take 4 weeks. The reimbursement check to be $4524.00. On 6-3-17 I phoned to get the status of check but received no answer. On July 17-17 I phoned to say I had received the check but was told it could not be cashed as a "Stop Payment" had been issued due to the length of time it took for delivery. I had in the meantime moved and left a forwarding address so delivery took longer. I was told to pick up a renewed check. When I did this the check was not for the agreed upon amount but had been reduced by $25.00 for shipping/Handling and $36.00 for bank charges for the stop payment order. I said I would not accept this as the agreement was for $4525.00. I was shown an agreement form with my signature on it that agreed to the lesser figure and told that I HAD to accept the check as presented because I had signed the contract. I am enclosing a copy of the original HEARING AID RETURN that I had signed and a copy of the altered copy which I was told I HAD to accept. I am told that the altered copy could be considered a forgery and as it was presented for personal gain would be placed in the category of fraud. I am also told that any money held past the 4 week period could be considered a Loan subject to interest. As of this date the money has been held 12 weeks. I am submitting this complaint hoping the problem can be resolved without further legal matter.
