Hello [redacted] I was wanting to let you know that my case has been resolvedThey got your letter for my complaint and they have fixed the problemI thank you so much for all your help in this matter This is [redacted] and my complaint was against Cleo Bay Subaru in Killeen Texas

The staff is not very knowledgeable in their polcies regarding distribution of fundsMade mevleave the title to the car I was sellingTold me I would have the money in five daysI call to see if it was ready, and of course they have to hold it for days after taking five already

In an attempt to get some maintenance done on my vehicle I brought it to the Cleo Bay Subaru service department The issue was with a power steering pump In an initial quote they suggested I purchase a $Subaru power steering pump, and also gave me the option of them purchasing an after market $pump from a third partyAfter doing an extremely small amount of product research, I found that that the same pump from the same third party retailer only cost $ Digging deeper I came to find that the $Subaru power steering pump was listed for $on the Subaru website The rough industry average of a mechanic markup on parts is between 25-50% In this case, Cleo Bay Subaru attempted to charge me a 260% markup on a power steering pump This represented a terrible overall outlook on obtaining the best price for the customer and selfishly attempted to obtain above industry standard profits on a price markup After bringing this apparent travesty up to the manager, it was expressed by the staff that there was a glitch in the system and they were not sure as to how the prices did not match After then talking personally with the manager, he admitted that the price markup was absurd and that that is how the business was supposed to make profit
