Review: On December 5, 2015 a sales rep, Mario S[redacted] with Clear Protection Home Security Systems came to my house and said that his company had bought out my current Home Security System called [redacted] He Wanted to walk around my home and see what equipment I had, said that my equipment was outdated and needed to be updated to the most current equipment. He and another staff member came by later that day to replace all equipment. He was supposed to come the following week for me to sign the contract because he said he did not have his Table He never came back or called. Early January 2016 I received a phone call from [redacted] that they had been receiving some phone calls from other [redacted] clients that Clear Protection staff members were compromising other [redacted] clients. Asked if I was one of them and I said yes. I gave them all the information they needed. On 1.26.16 I received my first bill from [redacted] , the company that would be monitoring my home. I never signed a contract so I didn't understand how I was getting billed. On 2.5.16 I called [redacted] about the bill, they informed me that I had to call Clear Protection because I had signed the contract through them. I called and spoke to Mark, customer service rep, then his Manager, Brian. Told Brian what had happened and transferred me to Carly. I then asked Carly for a copy of the copy of the contract because I never signed anything. I received in the mail the next day. It is not my signature. I called back on 2.8.16 and spoke to Kathy Office Manager [redacted] and said in order for them to take any action they needed a copy of my license and my daughters to compare signatures. My daughter sent via email on 2.19.16 a copy of our licenses. Kathy responded back the same day saying it was my signature. I told her no it isn't. I tried to cancel the contract, she then told me I had to pay the balance and the next 57 months. I wasn't even aware it was a 5 year contract.Desired Settlement: I would like for my contract to be revoked as this is not my signature on the contract. I have a copy of the contract, I have a copy of the email where Kathy with Clear Protection Customer Service said the signatures matched.

Response:

We are going to let the customer cancel. This is a tough situation. When customers that were with [redacted] call to cancel it is because [redacted] coaches them as to what to say. They tell them to tell us that our rep told them that we bought out Vivint. We never tell customers this. We did a welcome call with the customers daughter because she spoke better english. In that welcome call we go over the fact that they understand that we are not affiliated with [redacted] in any way and make sure they understand that. What we did wrong, and we just found this out, was that the rep let the daughter sign her dads name on the agreement and we should not have. Please have the customer remove the equipment and mail it back to us at:Clear Protection[redacted] AZ 85206As soon as we receive the equipment back we will cancel the account

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: I never agreed or signed a contract with this company and am not sue why my credit was run. I received an alert from [redacted] today and called the # on the report to find out the phone # listed was incorrect. A fraudulent transaction and I need my inquiry reversed and deleted from my credit file. My credit score went down 4 points as a result of this fraudulent inquiry.Desired Settlement: Inquiry needs to be deleted from [redacted] and any of my personal information needs to be shredded and not sold.

Response:

Our sales rep [redacted] has done business with this customer in the past. She was unhappy with her current alarm provider and [redacted] had spoken to Ms. [redacted] about changing over to our service. When he spoke with her she told him to talk to her husband. When he called the husband to get the information to see if they qualified he ran her credit. They willingly gave us the birthdate to run the credit. Anyway, we have contacted CSG, our monitoring company and they are calling [redacted] to see about removing the credit pull. Our account with [redacted] is under CSG.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I never authorized ANY sales rep to run my credit or assist me in anyway in obtaining service from Clear Industries and I never heard of the company until it showed up on my credit report. This is a total fabrication, I am not sure how this guy received my birthday. I have an alarm system that was set up a couple of months ago that I am fine with. This guy has committed fraud and I need all of my personal information destroyed and a letter from Clear Industries to let me know what type of action was done to this guy that committed fraud in my name. I also need written confirmation that my credit inquiry has been reversed.

Regards,

Business

Response:

We are sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused. We no longer have any personal information on the customer...in fact, after we run credit we don't have access to that information anymore. The sales rep is not an employee, he is an independent contractor. The owner and manager have had a discussion with the rep and he is very remorseful. He said that he has been in the business for several years and this has never happened. We of course told him that we expect it never to happen in the future. As far as the credit goes, we got verification today that [redacted] removed the credit pull.

Review: I have alarm equipment that was installed by clear technologies, in the last month I contacted the company in regards to a sensor that appeared to not be installed correctly in one of my doors. It is a hidden sensor that requires drilling into my door. Since the sensor was not installed correctly the sensor has fallen out and cannot be located, when I contacted the company to discuss this they told me that they do not cover those issues and I would have to pay for a new sensor, I do not feel that the sensor was lost due to negligence on my part, all other sensors are correct and very tight in place, they did not agree and were very rude and told me that it would be a 46 dollar replacement. Without this sensor my alarm does not work to the full extent. I would just like them to fix the issue.Desired Settlement: I would like a replacement part installed correctly.

I love my new system, especially that I can open my door and set my thermostat from my phone...the people are really friendly and nice
