I am rejecting this response because:Both the collection agency and the property itself have been given proof of the stolen identity. The collection agency has stated they don't care what I submit, that they will continue to leave this fraudulent account on my report because Ms. [redacted] "KNOWS" I am lying and that she "KNOWS" I owe this debt. The property reports to you that they are referring me to the collection agency knowing full well that I have sent the information to the collection agency, and the collection agency is refusing to accept and acknowledge the documentation they have been provided. Both the collection agency and the property office have been rude, unresponsive, and unwilling to process documentation that will prove this debt is not mine. At this point they are knowingly committing libel on my credit report and are desperately attempting to willfully ignore the Fair Credit Reporting Act to collect money that I DO NOT OWE THEM. This proof included a letter from Capital One acknowledging that someone attempted to open a credit card in my name, and that it was verified to have been a fraudulent application. I also provided the alerts from Lifelock when the criminal attempted to open the Sprint account and Capital One account. Also, there is a fraud alert on my credit reports that will verify that the identity theft has already been reported and acknowledged.I have also attached a police report that has been filed and I just obtained a copy of.It specifically references this incident with these apartments. While I sympathize with this company that is holding a hot check and is out their admin fees and application fees for an apartment that wasn't even rented out to the criminal that attempted to do so - it wasn't me that wrote the hot check or applied to live at their property. I don't know what else they want or need to be provided in order to follow the law. At this point I am requesting that the company, who hired the collection agency to harass people regardless of circumstances, call back this erroneous file, and cease all attempts to be on my credit report or collect money from me
