After a $180k reno project with Classe ( [redacted] ), we felt completely burnedWe couldn't wait to get the project completed and have him on his wayHe was slow, used the cheapest sub-contractors he could find (and not to save time, just to save money for himself), and the work required constant supervision and inspection by myselfHe would try and convince us that "poor quality" was standard and completely acceptableHe was soft on contractorsWith all of that, he was expensiveNot forcing him to itemize every piece of the project was our mistake, and not forcing a transparent "cost-plus" agreement was ours tooTwo years later, there are cracks in the addition's ceiling, separation of new granite from walls, and moreWe have just recently learned that new main sewer line they installed from our house to the city main has zero fall to itThis line runs directly underneath all of the new addition and will cost $10k+ to fixHe denies any responsibility
