I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
MrClark was blatantly rude and discourteous towards at the onset of the telephone conversation He never allowed me to address all of my concerns because he repeatedly shut me downI am not going to argue with a disagreeable person After ascertaining that I could not talk to him I felt the best thing to do was cease communication because I should not be subjected to abuse or abusive business ownersI was made aware that the carpet would be wet and to be careful walking on the floor after walking on the carpetSince I am not disagreeable and reasonable of course I signed the waiverHowever signing a waiver does not totally excuse the business or owner of liabilities when the business acts negligently Clarks Cleaners left left a puddle of water on my floor which I slipped in before I even reached the stairs or touched the carpet and I had to use a towel to get the water up*** ***, a *** *** representative was in my home at the time and witnessed the puddle of water on the floorShe also had to help me up from the floorThis compliant is not just a customer being unsatisfied with service This compliant is about a local business owner disrespect and rude conduct toward a reasonable member of the community This compliant is about negligence that is not protected by a waiverBusiness owners have a reasonable responsibility to ensure the safety of a consumer and leaving a puddle of water on my floor when they did not enter my home to clean my floor is negligence a criminal tortAnd yes, my carpet did eventually dry and it took hours for the carpet on the stairs to dry, not the original hours, and later hours as MrClark promised. ** * *** *** * *** I believe that MrClark would not have become hostile with me nor would be have provided substandard workBusinesses like this should not be allowed to treat selected consumers any way they choose because they are not accountable to anyone

At Clarks Cleaners we strive to be the best cleaning company in our area and hope that ever client has a great, clean and hygienic experienceUnfortunately not everyone is always going to be happyWe looked over the complaint and was happy to see that *** admits she was warned about areas around the carpets being wet and slipperyAfter she was told this several times she signed a waver releasing Clarks Cleaners of any liabilityAll floors at her home near the areas cleaned were thoroughly dry wiped*** never mentioned falling during her several phone calls to ClarksThe only concern she brought to our attention was the fact that the carpets were wet and she feared mold and mildewHer main concern of Mold and Mildew is not even mentioned on her complaintWe assured her that we use chemicals that will not allow mold or mildew to form and that the carpets being wet is very normalAt Clarks Cleaners we will always try to make a job right for a client and our goal is to make them happy***'s only concern was for the carpets being wet and this is normalWe don't refund money for wet carpetsAfter reading over her complaint it seemed more personal in nature and the quality of our work was never mentionedWe feel the carpets must have dried as we assured her and that they must be free of dirt and soilClarks Cleaners does not feel a refund is necessaryWe regret losing a client but understand we cant give a refund for good work and accusations
