Please see my manager's response to Mr***'s complaint. It appears to me that he wants us to pay for getting the part replaced. If we were going to do the labor he would have to pay us the $200.00. a few months ago we have a similar problem with one of his vehicles so we set an
appointment with the local dealership to fix the automobile. I told him that if the dealership found something other than what we diagnosed I would pay the bill. They found the same thing as we did. My techs will not work on his vehicles for fear that we can't satisfy him. I would suggest he get the part warrantied and find someone to replace it. *** ***, Manager's Response:On May 1st, I took a phone call from a disgruntled customer named *** ***. He claimed that he and our service manager had just had a heated exchange over the phone. I listed to Mr*** explain the situation for several minutes and then offered Mr*** a discounted price on the service he needed. We had installed an ac compressor on his vehicle months ago and it failed. I explained to Mr*** that we do not build the compressors and that the part was under warranty but the labor was not. He refused to pay the $estimate even though he agreed it was not our fault. He kept saying "It's a little too much to swallow right now." In an attempt to calm Mr*** down I offered to do the repair for $even. He continued to attempt to get a lower price and finally approved the $repair. When I notified our service department that we were authorized to do the work the service manager and technician both stated they didn't care to repair his vehicle because we could not make him happy. I messaged the previous store manager and he said Mr*** pulled the same stunt with him. I then called one of the company owners who was familiar with previous dealings with Mr*** and he authorized me to decline service because of never ending complaints by Mr***. I then called Mr*** to inform him that someone else would have to replace his compressor because we were declining service
