What ever you do DON"T USE their weed killing service. it doesn't work. We use their service for both bugs and weeds the bug killing worked fair we still had spider webs and a ant or two but the weeds grew faster after they sprayed, I complained to the driver who told me what to do, Call the manager and talk to him which I did, I had already paid them over 110.00 to do the side of my home. I called their office and they said they would re-spray and I would not be charged again until it was right. they came out 2 more times and sprayed the same 18' x 30' area. the weeds loved what ever they did. needless to say I stopped using them. 2 years later I was buying a new car and on my credit report was a bill from a collection company for over $200.00 they had sold my account to a collection ompany, what a mess, I went to their office, the driver was gone, the manager was gone, the man behind the desk in their office told me tough luck on that and started laughing. Before you use their service I would ask to speak to a happy customer if they have one.

Clark Pest Control Response

Mr. J contacted Clark Pest Control in April 2007 for help controlling a weed problem at his property. At that time Mr. J enrolled in our Year Round Weed Control service. When Mr. J contacted us due to the weed activity, Clark performed several services at no cost to Mr. J until the issue was resolved.
Clark Pest Control stopped Mr. J’s account in April 2008 due to non-payment. We made several attempts to contact Mr. J via phone calls and letters regarding his balance. After four months without contact or payment, the account was referred to our third party collection agency. Nearly five years later, in 2013, Mr. J contacted our company to discuss the status of his account. At that time we offered to accept the payment. Mr. J declined to make the payment at that time but did so through our collection agency soon thereafter.
Mr. J’s account has not been negatively reported to the credit bureau since 2015.
It is our mission to provide customers with amazing customer service, we regret that Mr. J does not feel that we have met this expectation.

My wife and I needed a termite and wood destroying organism inspection in order to buy a house here in Suisun. Clark pest control came over and did the inspection and found a rat trap in the crawlspace that apparently had termite damage. The report they gave us said "evidence of subterranean termites found in cellulose debris." Then they said we needed to scrape the termite holes and spray the dirt to eliminate them. They also said they would repair all the quote "termite damage" for $1760.00 the problem is- we went down there and found no evidence of termites other than the 20 year old rat trap and found ZERO termite holes in the wood. Not only that but we hired *** and they did the same inspection and found ZERO evidence of termites.

Clark Pest Control Response

The ***’s contacted Clark Pest Control requesting a Section I/II termite inspection for a property that they were purchasing. Upon inspecting the property, it was noted that there was cellulose debris in a rat trap in the sub area of the property.

Typically, cellulose debris would be construction or remodeling remnants that had fallen to the ground and were left. Even though the rat trap does have a wood base, it could have been considered a temporary remediation tool. Since there was no other evidence of termites, we feel that it would have been appropriate to simply recommend removal of the trap.

We have contacted Mr., shared our opinion and offered to refund the $150.00 fee for the inspection. The ***s have accepted our explanation and our refund offer.

Clark Pest Control prides itself in exceeding customer expectations in an ethical, professional, responsive and caring manner and assure you that the reports written did not have fraudulent information. We are confident that this was an extremely unique situation and we believe that our original recommendation was made in good faith with the intent of protecting the potential buyer’s interest.

This company is a scam. I put my account on hold and they sent someone out anyway. Been trying to resolve this inaccurate bill for over 2 years. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR REGULAR SERVICES. Their customer service and billing department are MNS. OH AND NOW THEY REPORTED MY ACCOUNT TO MY CREDIT REPORT. THE SERVICE MAN SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN HERE. I'M NOT PAYING FOR SOMETHING THAT I DIDN'T AUTHORIZE.

Clark Pest Control Response

Ms. D contacted Clark Pest Control in 2011 for assistance in controlling a pest problem at her property and enrolled in our Year-Round Pest Away Service at that time. Clark performed pest maintenance services at this property every other month until January 2015 when Ms. D asked to place her account on hold to get caught up on her past due balance from previously performed services. Clark Pest Control agreed to skip the service scheduled for March 2015.
When it came time for us to schedule the next service for May 2015, we contacted Ms. D to inform her that her account was still past due and that we would be unable to continue providing services until her account was brought current. Clark Pest Control did not perform any services after Ms. D requested to put her account on hold. We stopped this account due to nonpayment in August 2015.
Clark attempted to contact Ms. D monthly until August 2015 to collect payment. After 120 days without contact or payment, the account was referred to our third party collection agency.

I contracted with Clark Pest Control to rid my garage and home of rodents on May 1, 2017. I have paid the company more than $2,000, yet I still have rodents. I saw one in my garage a couple of weeks ago, and one running through my house yesterday evening. In addition, the rodents are destroying my carpet trying to get into closets. In one closet there are carpet fibers scratched out by a rodent right next to a trap. In fact, some fibers are on the trap. Yet no rodents have been caught in months. I paid nearly $2,000 to have my home (including garage) sealed so that rodents couldn't enter from the outside. Yet I continue to see rodents in my garage and house. I have contacted Clark and talked to several people, including the service manager, and Clark reps have visited my home. However, the problem persists and I am told to be patient. How much longer must I wait?

Clark Pest Control Response

Ms. contacted Clark Pest Control in May 2017 for assistance in controlling an ongoing rodent issue at her home. Clark Pest Control’s technicians went out to the home and performed rodent exclusion work. To aid in the control of the rodents, our technician gave suggestions to Ms. to reduce the amount of rodent activity in the area such as trimming her trees and removing the bird seed from around the home.

Our technicians and supervisors have made several attempts to contact Ms. and have left her multiple messages. We hope to make contact with Ms. soon so that we can address these rodent issues.

It is our mission to always provide our customers with amazing service. We look forward to the opportunity to resolve this matter with Ms..

Customer Response

I am rejecting this response because: The company asked me to trim my trees, which I did within days of the request. The company also mentioned the bird feeder. Since then I have been putting the bird feeder away at night, and the seed is stored in metal containers, which the rodents cannot access. I have done everything Clark Pest Control asked me to do, including installing a new garage door so that rodents cannot enter the garage by crawling under it.As for Clark's comment that, "Our technicians and supervisors have made several attempts to contact Ms. and have left her multiple messages" -- this is untrue. Since I filed the Revdex.com complaint, one message was left yesterday (Nov. 1) but I spent most of the day in the dentist's office and was unable to return the call from "***." I called back today, Nov. 2 and left a message returning his call but have not heard from him. There have absolutely been no "multiple messages." None, zero, only one yesterday. ***, the person who takes care of my home for Clark did call last week and I answered his call and he came to my home that day to reset traps. Before that, I had not heard from any Clark rep for some two months. Until I heard from "***" yesterday, I thought that Clark had decided to just ignore the Revdex.com complaint. Why would I ignore calls from the company when I want the issue resolved? It makes no sense.

I was selling my home and I asked Clark's to give me a quote to spray the house boundary's to keep spiders and bugs away during the realtors Open House.
When the salesman arrived he up sold me a yearlong monthly contract. Why would he do this when he knew I was moving and wanted a single treatment for the Open House? I paid Clark's for a single treatment that day.
In early July there was a note on my front door that the spray crew had been there. Part of the contract is that the crew can come by anytime without notification.
Soon a bill for $110 dollars came in the mail (bi-monthly billing). When I called Clark's about the bill, I was told this is for the July/August service. The new owners happened to be home in August and told the spray crew they did not want the service. I asked if Clark's would reduce the bill to $55 for the one application in July; they said no.
Not only was I up sold a service I did not need, I am being charged for a service I did not receive. I am disappointed in Clark's business practices and will certainly not be recommending them to anyone.

Shame on Clark's Pests.

Clark Pest Control Response

Mr. R contacted Clark Pest Control in June 2017. Clark Pest Control performed an estimate and a subsequent treatment according to the service agreement for a Year-Round Pest-Away service, authorized by Mr. R.
After receiving a second treatment in July, Mr. R contacted Clark Pest Control because he did not understand that he had signed up for a yearlong service. After discussing the account with Mr. R and his intent to vacate the residence, we decided that the account would be closed and payment would not be required for the second service performed at the property.
We have credited Mr. R account for the entire balance remaining, leaving a balance at $0.
It is our mission to provide customers with amazing customer service. We appreciate the opportunity to remedy this situation.

This is specific to the San Diego location.
Do NOT use Clark pest control.
We used them during a house remodel in late July. Not only did they take a take a ladder from the job site, during the prep work they showed up un-announced and proceeded to destroy our drip irrigation system while haplessly moving plants away from the house. This was done unannounced or asked for as I was planning on doing the prep work in order to ensure proper care and movement of our plants.
When I confronted them about using and taking the job site ladder while sending them site SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE of them clearly taking the ladders on the site, Mike H (our site tech) refused to take responsibility for it. I made multiple calls to Mike, his supervisor Joe to resolve the issue and they proceeded to not call me back. There was no effort to resolve this situation or even acknowledge what they had done.
Not only was this horrible service, its very scary that you cannot trust this company in your home un supervised.

Clark Pest Control Response

Clark Pest Control was contacted in June 2017 to complete a termite inspection for this customer. We completed the work the following month.

Clark Pest Control has been in contact with the owner of this property regarding the missing ladder. Although there is no video footage of the ladder being taken by our technicians, and as a show of good faith, we issued a check to the customer to cover the replacement cost of the ladder. We spoke to our customer and he is satisfied with this resolution. It is always our goal to satisfy our customers and we are glad that we were able to reach a mutually agreeable solution to maintain a positive relationship with this customer.

Note to all Realtors - DON'T USE CLARKS PEST CONTROL, if you need a section 1 & 2 Report right away. Even though I explained that I am a Realtor trying to get a deal closed, they still took over 48 hours to get it to me by email saying: "Attached is the report. Thank you, Gina T(last name), (title), Clark Pest Control (Branch 17)." Their tech had come on time at 1:00 pm Tuesday but I didn't get the report back until 3:51pm Thursday. Monday before that, my home inspector got his report to me in 30 minutes. Taking a cavalier attitude in getting that report to me in time to negotiate the discovered damages cost me over $1,400. Unacceptable.

Clark Pest Control Response

Ms. K contacted our company on August 4, 2017, and requested a termite inspection be performed on August 8, 2017. She also asked that the final report be completed in 24 hours. We advised that we would make every attempt to get it done quickly but could not promise it would be done in that time. Our inspectors are trained to complete their reports with the highest of quality and accuracy and due to the extensive list of recommended repairs needed at this property, the report could not be completed in 24 hours.
The inspection was completed in the late afternoon of August 8, 2017 and we completed the report and e-mailed it to her on the afternoon of August 10, 2017. The State of California requires that completed reports be sent within 10 working days. Nearly all of our customers receive theirs within 2-3 days.
We have made several attempts to reach Ms. K in attempt to resolve this matter but were unsuccessful in reaching her. It is our goal to satisfy our customers and we regret that we did not satisfy this customer.

Customer Response

They left two messages, not several. There was no reason for me to return the contact since the report was too late to use in my negotiations and is now a moot subject. I told them I was a Realtor and needed to know if they could get the report to me at the earliest - this was not a routine inspection by a homeowner The Real Estate sale is now closed. I simply will not use them in my future transactions.

When signing up with clark their representative *** informed us that we would be able to cancel anytime and that our services were a one time up front charge with monthly charges that was occur whenever services were provided. We had minimal services doen and did not call clark pest control to come yet are continued to be charged. We have tried to resolve the billing issues with the company but they refuse to even listen to what we are saying or trying to explain and instead interrupt our converaations with "were just going to keep billing you"

Clark Pest Control Response

On October 8, 2016, Mr. agreed to services by signing our Year-Round Pest-Away service agreement. This document reflected an initial service in October and subsequent services every two months in December, February, April, June and August. Based on the service agreement, we performed services on December 3 and February 21. Since we did not receive payment for either of those services, we did not perform any additional services.

It is always our goal to satisfy our customers. In an effort to do so, we have credited Mr. account for the services performed in December and February and all incurred finance charges.

Thank you.

We hired Clark to spray our home for ants. They were very professional and did a great job. We did not realize that by having them to our home one time, that, we entered a subscription agreement, whereby, they would come each month. Upon realizing this, after a few phone calls, a manager remedied this and we were able to stop the service.

Prior to the formal termination, Clark sent someone to our home again. We were not living in the home at the time, and it was a working construction site, with heavy equipment and major hurdles to property entry surrounding the home. Clark billed us for the service, for which we take exception.

Entering the property at the time of construction would have endangered the employee. It was very clear to any observer, that one would make a phone call prior to providing service based on status of the home, and the likelihood that the residents were not living in the home.

Clark Pest Control Response

On August 5, 2016, Clark Pest Control provided services to the *** home for the initial fee of $165.00. At that time, a Service agreement was signed by ***, to begin ongoing treatment on a Quarterly basis for $115 every quarter. The first quarterly service was provided to the property on November 29, 2016. At this time, Mr. contacted Clark stating that he was under the impression that they had signed up for one time treatment, and not ongoing service. At this time, the ongoing service was stopped and Mr. was notified that he would still be responsible for the $115.00 balance for the service performed in November. Multiple attempts were made to collect the amount due. Mr. contacted the office again in February and March of 2017 regarding the bill he was receiving. It was explained that he would be responsible for the balance due as services had already been performed.

Clark Pest Control values its customers, and in order to settle this matter, we are willing to write off the balance of $121.97, which includes the $115.00 for the service provided and $6.97 of finance charges.
