August 1, 2017. I apologize for your experience and any misunderstanding between you, Mr. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted].
The terms of [redacted]’s base appraisal fee provide that the fee is nonrefundable once an appraisal report is delivered. In this instance, we can confirm our receipt of your appraisal report on July 20, 2017. Further inquiry revealed the telephone calls between you and Mr. [redacted] were not recorded and therefore we are unable gain clarity on what may have been communicated.
At [redacted], we strive for clear, accurate and transparent communications with our clients every step of the way. Therefore, after review of your request and discussion with Mr. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted], in good faith, we have issued a refund of $450 to your American Express card, Stripe reference number [redacted]. We have also taken the opportunity to reinforce the base appraisal fee policy with our Loan Officers.
