Review: I have been a patient with this dentist office since 2014 (I understand they have three doctors there and counting).In December 2014, with insurance at hand, I made a visit and had a filling done. I was told I had to pay an amount which I did. It turned out I overpaid by $65 according to my schedule of benefits. I called the office twice to explain the overbilling issue, spoke with two different people who rebuffed me and dismissed me. I wonder if these are accounting gimmicks Clairemont Smiles Dentistry engages in or part of a larger practice of overbilling patients and insurance companies. I did some research and found out Clairemont Smiles Dentistry is a sponsored office part of [redacted]-, a network of over 40 affiliated owner doctors. I don't know if overbilling is just happening at Clairemont Smiles in San Diego or at that network at large. I wish [redacted] will put their house in order, practice best practices and stop overbilling at Clairemont Smiles Dentistry.I am currently weighing other option available with my case, including Filling a Complaint against them with the Dental Board (Ca. Dept. of Consumer Affairs).Desired Settlement: Refund the overpayment of $65.
