I am rejecting this response because: I attempted to contact leasing office multiple times where someone would answer and hang up the line after I would start speaking. There was a portion of the fees that I paid that was supposed to be refundable if I decided not to take the apartment. I never signed a lease so referring to certain paragraphs in it do not apply to me.

Attempts were made to contact [redacted] regarding her missed move in date, but the telephone calls were not returned. Her application for rental was considered cancelled on October 4111. We do not show any notes of contact from [redacted] until April 24, 2017, which was a telephone call from [redacted] asking about her deposit. We explained on the call that her deposit was forfeited in accordance with the rental application terms. Per the conditions of her application agreement, paragraph number 6, the deposit was retained as liquidated damages because she did not sign the lease agreement after approval.
