Review: A book was purchased, "Insurance Fund Hearing Representative," by The Passbook Series. [redacted], this book is for the New York Workers' Compensation exam. However, the book is not for New York. It rather is multi jurisdictional, thus making the book worthless for the New York State Insurance Fund Hearing Representative's exam. The store [redacted] was specifically asked if the book was for the said exam and she specifically indicated that it was.

In addition, the book is replete with errors, both substantive errors and editorial. The store has a policy of final sales, no returns. I tried several times, over the course of three days to contact the publisher, but the publisher will not return my emails and the phone number listed on the publication is constantly busy. [redacted], in addition to insulting and abusive language used, I was told repeatedly that I should try the number of the publisher because that is my only recourse and that eventually I should be able to connect to them. The store refuses to do anything. While their policy of no returns might be valid in regular circumstances, this however is an exception for two reasons: 1) because of the misrepresentation that this book is for New York only; and 2) because they are selling a substandard merchandise off of which they too make a profit, thus making them responsible.Desired Settlement: Refund-cash, which is the payment that was used to purchase the book.
