If only people reported the truth in the complaints things would be that much easier. We set up a time and day with this owner, after much preparation we went there on the specific day and time to find NO owner, No tenant, No phone calls answered, No door bell rings answered! NOTHING. Also the...

complaint is for the very front windows of the house, we have been there, there is nothing wrong with the workmanship, or materials installed on this roof.

To whom this may concern, We received a service call complaint on  12/29/2016 from the customer. I have attached the service call slip from my technician. The instructions were to call the customer upon arrival to the property to see what the issue was and to solve it. When we got there no...

one was answering the phone or the door. We sent this service out the next day 12/30/2016 as you can see it was signed by our guy then. We would like to take care of the issue if they could inform us where it is leaking we can go resolve this. However since they were not home and did not answer the door we had no way of knowing what to repair and where. Please contact us again to tell us what needs to be done so it can be fixed. Thanks,City Wide Roofing.

We had a Service call scheduled between 9-930 on a Wednesday. Unfortunately, it rained that day and you gave us a call and we explained why we could not be out there on that date and time due to the weather. We are not allowed to work in the Rain. As soon as we...

were told this you became very agitated and it was hard to come up with a reasonable time to come back out. We would like to come out and service the property. Please give us a date and time that works for you and that is weather permitting so that we can resolve this issue you are having.
Thanks,
City Wide Roofing

Hi,We are attaching our notes from the Job. The customer called us on 9/11/2015 to inform us that she is having a leak. We got out there on 9/12/15 the day after she called to see the issue. When our technician arrived on site he saw the top of the wall where the stucco was open. He saw a...

tarp was put on the roof and nailed down creating holes in the roof. We then removed the tarp, fixed all the holes that were created by the tarp installation. We then proceed to Caulk and Seal the opening where the stucco is. We do not do any stucco work and was not part of the original contract however we still did the repair as best as we could. We have not heard of any more complaints since that time. We responded the day after she called because it was an emergency and did repairs that were not associated with the roof. As far we know the matter was closed. Thanks,City Wide Roofing

Review: I am a 68 year old female. Citywide Roofing, Inc. installed a new shingle roof on the front and along the side of the top main roof for the amount of $5000.00 and with a 25 year warranty. This work was done in February 2012. In July 2012, I contacted the company to report a like in the area with the old leak was. They came out and did some caulking where they thought the leak was coming. Subsequently, from that time up until the present time, the leak has persisted and have gotten progressively worst and look exactly like the ceiling and window areas prior to contracting them to do the work. My contact through telephone calls, texts, and emails is the roofing supervisor Mr. John H[redacted] (emails: [email protected] or [redacted]). He repeatedly promised to send his crew out. And when they did not come, he came up with excuses, such as: "the winter put them behind, or some of his men did not report to work, or if the building was a two story building, he would have sent men out by now, but since the building is a 3 story, he needed 3 men to come out and, of course, their was the excuse of the rain and they prioritizing new work before coming to look at old work. In the meantime, my property is being severely damaged and the tenant residing in the apartment where the like is is suffering from limited quality of life, have to collect water in buckets and bowels and the damaged ceiling and wood work around the windows.

To date, I have not hear anything from Mr. Hummel or Citywide Roofing. I have to mitigate the damages and the quality of life situation experienced by me and my tenant by have another roofer come out to correct this problem.Desired Settlement: I would like to have Citywide Roofing, Inc. reimburse me for the new roof I paid for and that they did not correct the problem, after coming out three times, and refusing to honor their labor/product warranty of 25 years. A warranty is on as good as the company willing to honor it. In this case, this company is still doing business, yet when a situation arises, such as in my case the refused to acknowledge or correct the problem. Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: Citywide Roofing, Inc.'s response to my complaint is a total fabrication. I was at my wit's end in getting Citywide Roofing to address my ongoing roof leak and to stand by their warranty. That is the only reason why I contacted Revdex.com to assist me in this matter. Please see the attachments, which in recent emails, I have pleaded with John to come and address the matter.Thank you, in advance, for your assistance in this matter.

As we have responded to this customers request to return to fix a leak, in her own words, then set the appointment to meet for better clarity on where the leak was coming occurringwe feel that we have been responding and honoring the warranty. We will also return again at her request with a day and time.

Review: my roof was purchased in 2004, have had problems with different aspects of the roof and gutter installed,

but since 2008 till the present day, my roof has leaked in almost every rain storm that has come through,

my indoor ceilings are failing, in 3 out of 4 downstairs rooms, not only will they refuse to come and look at it,

they tell me its from the windows. Its not the windows, had them checked by 3 companies, its they're flashings

and cheap quality shingles and sealant, , they refuse to come out, been calling all year, nothing, except being yelled

at bu the person, [redacted], who is in charge, refuses to help me, even the fact that I still hold a warranty with over a year

left, I just want to talk to his boss, the owner, because if he really knew how its run through fear and intimidation,

they just might turn into a real, and decent company, but so far, just poor in all aspects, customer service being

the worst casualty casualtyDesired Settlement: I( want to speak to the person in charge, not [redacted], I want the owner to explain why his company does not honor a warranty,

and to replace all the flashings, also my gutter was never installed correctly,

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: this matter has not been closed, their roof still leaks, I have a warranty for another year, no one has contacted me,

no one has fixed anything, no one had come to my property to even look at the roof, they need to settle this with me, I wish it was settled, but

Review: On 3/18/14 I received a written estimate for roofing work. I forgot about the estimate and called the company again for the same work. They sent out another estimator in late July or early August. He (Jimmy) called me on the phone and gave me a description of the work needed and a verbal estimate of $3200.00. I told him it was too high. We hung up and he called back and said "[redacted] if you agree to book the job for this coming Tuesday we can do it for $2800.00." I would not agree to it because I knew there was another estimate out there, I just had to find it. When I found the written estimate I called the company and told them I wanted to schedule the job based on my estimate of 3/18/14.. The price was $500.00-$1000.00 based on the amount of capping I desired. The work Jimmy described to be was the same work as in my written estimate. I wnt back and forth with the company because I wanted to know how the estimate could increase so drastically in five months. I finally spoke to John, who is the manager. I explained the situation to him. He promised me he would look into the matter and call me back no later than Monday (that was on a Friday), give me his decision and get the job scheduled. I have called numerous times and no one will call me back. Since I could not speak to anyone, I sent a message through [redacted]. The response I received was "Unfortunately we are unable to accomodate this customers request to have work performed at this time"Desired Settlement: The very real problem for me with this company is that I have approximately $9000.00 worth of roofing work and about eight years left on a 10-year warranty on all the roofs of my home. City Wide has been responsive in the past with issues under warranty. Now no will talk to me. I am concerned that I will not get help with any requests going forward, and when it comes to roofs issues will come up. I note the difference in their estimate from March to August--over $2000.00. I also note that their estimator Jimmy verbally quoted me $3200.00 and then $2800.00 less than 10 minutes later. He never left a written estimate in the door or sent one in the mail. My other issue is that I have 14 days left to fix the roof per instructions from my homeowners insurance company. Were it not for the existing warranties on the roof, I would have gone with another company. That would then leave the door open for them to negate the warranties due to work by others. My expected outcome is that they complete the job as quoted on 3/18/14 within the next 7-10 days.

Response:

I have already responded to this customer on [redacted] we are not obligated to do any work that we are not comfortable doing regardless of what the estimator said or wrote. It is a company decision not to move forward on any project we feel we are not equipped to do. At this time we are not going to move forward on this project. This customer is free to hire anyone who is equipped to handle her needs to meet her insurance policy requirements. Thank you, John

The warranty will say in affect for the years that are remaining. The scope of work that was done by us has nothing to do with the scope of work that needs to be done. Therefore there should be no worries on this customers part. Thank you

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I don't know how else to say this. They are not honoring the warranty dated 3/18/14 and keep claiming they are not able to do the job. I don't believe this company contracted for a job they cannot not do. They don't want to do the job for the lower price and that's the bottom line. They are just plain dishonest, and it shows by the fact that they don't talk to their customers. Maybe [redacted] (Rafi L[redacted]) should be contacted. I believe he is the owner of the business. Maybe he will have a different perspective on this matter.

Review: Our roof has a 15 year warranty. We got it new from City Wide. Since getting that roof the roof has leaked within one year in the front of our house. They supposedly fixed it and they replaced part of the ceiling it damaged. The same exact spot leaked massively this January after a 4" snow fall. Our ceiling was leaking so badly it nearly came down on my wife and sleeping infant. After repeatedly contacting CityWide they came to repair the roof. The worker stated that there were several problem unsealed spot and one seam in the front part of the roof and that he sealed them for us and put a salt block. They did this under the warranty after getting a run around about whether it was covered from the owner [redacted]. I contacted [redacted] after this "fix" about getting the ceiling fixed. He gave me the runaround and then said no. Then in email after a contentious back and forth he said in email to get the ceiling drywall fixed and to send him the bill.

Before we could get the drywall replaced it snowed again and our roof was leaking into our bedroom in the front of outhouse again near the perimeter of the area that was fixed. So there was a missed area that was no secured by CityWide. I emailed [redacted] at City Wide asking him what we should do and he was very ignorant and told me to put buckets and to call my insurance basically going back on his word about paying for our drywall fix and saying he will not fix this leak that was not fixed completely two weeks prior.Desired Settlement: We want the part of the roof that is still leaking fixed (the front corner of our house roof). The original fix fixed part but not the whole area. Also we want the ceiling drywall replaced in our bedroom that this leak destroyed.

Response:

After a heavy snow fall which created ice damning in the eave box of this customers roof, after emails and facebook messages on a Sunday I responded by getting someone there the following day. The warranty clearly states that this would not be covered because of the ice damning. When I was repeatedly harassed about the ceiling being fixed while I was in the hospital with my father who was having a cancerous tumor removed from his brain, I said if I have to give an answer right now the answer is "NO". When I was repeatedly harrassed about the ceiling even after explaining my situation I told him to get it fixed and send me the bill. Fast forward a week and we get another 13" of snow which again causes ice damning opening the repaired area once again, at that point I advised this customer to call the insurance to handle this situation because again it is not a warranty issue. I am not the owner which is one of the reasons why I can't just tell someone to get something fixed and we'll pay for it especially when it's not covered under the warranty. I responded to this customer in every way imaginable by calling emailing and sending a crew to try to help with his situation and advised him to call the insurance company to assess any damages and have been meet with arrogance, threats and discontentment. I have put forth a good faith gesture to assist this customer time and time again. We can still come out to repair the area once the weather is more suitable, until that time, I again, advise calling the insurance company to assess damages caused by these storms.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: The sequence of events cited by the business with regards to their respone tactics and timing are innacurate. They did not send someone out the day after a catastophic leak damaged almost our entire ceiling in our bedroom. We asked for help in a Sunday Jan 5th. They sent someone out to fix it on Thurs Jan 9th. I have emailed between myself and [redacted] proving the delay in response. It was not fixed all the way. When it leaked it was after 4" only of fluffy non heavy snow in a spot that they previously fixed. The second time it leaked in a smaller portion of the same spot we complained the [redacted] was outrageously unprofessional in his response even sending seceral emails in response to the same email in quick succession citing how can we bother him when he has someone sick at home. We need a date when the front corner of our roof will be sealed properly and we will be sending the bill for what it is costing us to repair our ceiling from holes in our roof as cited by their own worker. We have un emaik this business will cover our bill fron the repairs to our ceiling.

Response:

The roof will be looked at and repaired according to the warranty if it is determined that there is a warranty issue, if that is the case it will be addressed immediately on the spot, once that is taken care of then the customer can go ahead and get the interior fixed. however if we are dealing with warranty issues here I would like to call attention to the Work Order at the bottom of the page and also on the Warranty itself, please read carefully all of line one. With all things concidered, we still want to fix the roof for the customer but it has to be done when the weather is good, we don't want to have to keep addressing the same issue by being hasty. We will coordinate with the customer as to the day and time. We also understand that this is an emergency for them and will work diligently.
