Review: Oil was leaking from the engine of my BMW 2003. The car taken
Cityliine Auto in Ozone park née for repair I was given an estimate of $4700,
for the replacement of a used engine, alignments,
front suspension work on the car, including the price of $2800 for the engine
which was suppose to be purchased from Sawmill Auto Dealer.
Prior from the replacement of the engine, everything worked
well on my car. After I finish paying for the car on 11-**-2013, the owner of
Cityline auto notified me that his computer was out of service, I had to come
back to the shop for the receipt the next day.
However, before I left the shop, steering was very tight, heat and air
condition were not working and the oil sensor was not reset. I called [redacted]
the [redacted] to complaint about the problems.
[redacted] responded” the car was working well; the car was cold when I
started to drive power steering would become normal”.
The car was very difficult to drive; it was constantly
shifting to the right side, it was making a terrible sound. When I came home, I text [redacted] from
cityline auto, I explained the problems. He never responded. On November the
[redacted], at 8:40 AM, I called [redacted] to tell him about the problem the car was
having. [redacted] responded "he was paid to replace the engine and the engine
was replaced therefore, he was not responsible anything else”. I called [redacted] to ask if the alignment was
done on the car. He hung the phone on my face. I called [redacted] back. He screamed
and he cursed at me. He said [redacted] me. He called
me crazy. I cursed him back. At 4:15 pm I went to the shop. [redacted] agreed for
me to bring the car back to the shop to fix. On 11-**-2013, the service engine
light came on. I called the shop. I was asked to bring it to the shop. On
11-**-13, 11-**-13, the car was taken there but it was no fixed. I called and
took the car to cityline shop on 11-**at 2pm. I picked up the car back from
there on 11-**at 12 pm. The car got worst only the air condition, the heat
worked and the service engine light went off. The car was shaking, unsafe
antifreeze was leaking from the car. On Monday 11-**-13 at 6:45 pm, the problem
was reported to [redacted]. I was asked to bring it back to the shop. Tuesday
11-**-13 at 3pm, the car was taken to cityline auto. Technician worked on the
car for 3 hours. I got the back at 5pm. When I was driving home, the car was
overheated and it has been shaking, unsafe. On 11-**-13, I called [redacted]
@9:30am. I was asked to bring the car back to the shop. I got to cityline at
10:30am. I got the car back at 2:55Pm. After I drove 10 blocks from the shop,
service engine light came on. I called [redacted]. I was asked to come back to the
shop. I took the car back. [redacted] worked on it for half an hour, engine light
came off but the car was still shaking and not working well. On 12-**-13 at
7:30am, service engine light came on again. I called [redacted] at 1:30pm to bring
the car back to the shop. [redacted] told me that he did not have time to see my
car today, to try to call tomorrow. Every time I asked [redacted] for a detail receipt
of the jobs, he performed on my car he tells me he cannot give it to me
give; his computer has not been fixed for three weeks now. I need to wait for
his computer to be fixed.
Today, 12-**-13, I called [redacted] at 5 pm for my receipt; he
told me his computer was not fixed. I asked him for hand written receipt. He
refused. He told me that I needed to wait for the computer to fix; he does not
give customers hand written receipt. I asked [redacted] for the warranty paper on
the engine and the receipt for the purchasing of the engine from Sawmill Auto
Dealer. Again, [redacted] “responded, he was the purchaser of the engine, I was not
the purchaser of the engine therefore, he would not give me any paper". Desired Settlement: Obviously I have made several attempts to work with cityline auto with no success. The car has become unsafe. I want them to remove their engine from my car and return my money in full to me, $4700. Although, the value of my vehicle is over $7000, I will consider a refund of $4700 to buy another car. I do not know what this shop has done to this car, it may not be reparable. The owner of Cityline Auto, [redacted] is disrespectful, rude, unprofessional and very dishonest.
