The establishment took my bedroom curtain to clean (the original price of the curtain was around $1000). They did clean it, but also actually shrunk and ruined my curtain. The curtain use to fit floor to ceiling before they shrunk it by about 6-10 inches. It is/was a blackout curtain as well, and my bedroom is no longer blacked out. They took the curtain back and said they would "fix" it, even though I didn't want them to take it because I knew they can't fix something they already shrunk. They brought the curtain back, and its still short (it use to come down to the ground to keep out the light) and now the top is also short (I believe they took material from the top to make the bottom look longer. ALso the curtain is installed wrong, its hard to open and close, the cord is slack when the curtain is open, and the bottom of the curtain is crooked. They did not charge me for the cleaning, but they refuse to either replace the ruined curtain with something of equal value or give me the money to replace it myself.
Ms. *** contacted our company with a request of a new blackout motorized roller shade and a repair of the existing motorized shade. During our sales consultation, she had also decided to add a cleaning of the drapery to the entire order.
The entire project scope was $1350 + tax.
Below is a break down of cost:
$1000+tax for a new shade
$50 repair of existing
$300 drapery cleaning
We had completed the entire scope and received a $1,050.00 payment from *** for 1 new blackout shade and a repair of the existing. The drapery has been cleaned and was installed. It is in a good condition. The drapery is not short as *** expressed. It was cleaned, steamed and hung back in place. $300 credit for drapery cleaning was applied towards customer account to compensate for the inconvenience associated with additional trips. Attached is a photo which was taken after the installation. *** contacted our office with a request to issue a $1000 refund to her she paid for the blackout roller shade so she would use these funds to get a new drapery. We have advised *** that we would not be able to extend any additional credits beyond $300 we have already issued.
Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
Respectfully,
