City Builders

We hired this contractor December 2015, to remodel our house, January 2018 they went out of business and did not finish our project. Some of what they did do, has to be redone. We still do not live in the house, 2 years of mortgage and taxes and the house is not completed......where to we go from here?

If we had to do it again, we would not sign with City Builders We signed on in January and gave a $5,deposit for design work After the design phase is complete, a bid is presented and you continue from there Due to multiple errors in the bid, as well as being well over our given budget and timeline, we halted the project at the end of the design phase As of August 2017, we still have not received a site plan or design plans that are in compliance with the city code The site plan is missing such basic items as streams running through the property and a large deck, items that are very clearly stated and easily found in the city code The design plans are missing several views needed for the permit process and contain errors as well The refund has been stalled since March 24, Counsel has concurred the company has breached their contract by misrepresenting their ability to deliver drawings that will pass the permit process Definitely do not recommend this company
