City Appliance Heating & A/C

I am writing in reference to a heat pump I purchased

from City Appliance HTG & A/C located at [redacted]

street [redacted] S.C. on 05/30/2013 [redacted]

The day after the purchase I noticed the unit was not

working properly, so I contacted [redacted], the person I know

as the owner. He stated that he knew the problem was

the fan motor. He informed me on this day that someone

would be out to install it, within a week. In the

meantime, he stated, that I could push the blades to get

it started.

I waited for the tech, to come by within the week, as he

said they would; however; they never did. I attempted to contact him again, and he said when they were in the [redacted] area again they would stop by and repair it.

After several months of contacting him, he never came.

He even advised me to get another company to do the

work, and he would take care of the bill. The tech who

was supposed to fix it was [redacted] he

has failed to return my calls as well.

I did call other companies, and they said they would need

the monies for service at the time of service. I contacted

him numerous times, and he has not resolved this issue.

I am still stuck with a unit that does not work, and two

toddler children in the home, and no heat. Also when

purchased, the unit had a one year guarantee. I spoke to

him on Friday, after I called him from an unfamiliar

number, he answered and stated that he would meet me

somewhere and give me the motor, so that someone

else could install it.

I waited for him to call me and once again, he has failed

to contact me. So now, I have no other choice but to pursue other avenues.
