I have NEVER have walked into the gym( although sent others) and I'm getting raging calls accusing me that I owe a bill from 5 years ago!!
Multiple calls very nasty and uncompliant even threatening to where they say I owe money from 5 years ago. I have bank records that show that I for the last year have been going to another gym for 8 years! I work for the city so it's also on my paystubs.
I need to have my credit cleared from this fraudulent business
Hi this is ***. I am the owner of Chucktown Fitness. The Chucktown Fitness location that *** is referencing was sold to another gym (O2 fitness) back in November of 2018.
We first heard of ***'s complaint because it was brought to our attention on a Facebook rant. She was publicly blasting Chucktown Fitness and saying that "our" manager was calling and harassing her. She was obviously upset and had some very unkind words about my business. My business partner and I immediately contacted *** via facebook and explained that our business was sold over 2 years ago.
The issue is that the business we sold our company to never updated of the ownership change with the collections company.
The collections company has been calling past customers (not only ***) and telling people that they are a managers of Chucktown Fitness and demanding settlement on their past dues. That Chucktown Fitness location does not exist anymore and we do not receive any collected funds from this old collections company. Any money collected goes to O2 Fitness.
We have tried on multiple occasions to contact O2 Fitness and have yet to get a response. This has been bad for our business because we still have another location of Chucktown Fitness. (*** has never been a member of our current Chucktown Fitness location)
Getting publicly blasted on Facebook is terrible for our businesses good name.
After seeing Jennifers rant on Facebook we explained everything to her. She apologized for the rant and took the Facebook post down.
Im not sure when this formal complaint was made to the Revdex.com.
We have recently filed for legal action about another issue with O2 Fitness and this issue will also be forwarded to our attorney.
Please let us know what else needs to be done on our end to clear this issue up. Thanks
I was on a month to month membership with this gym and notified the owner I would be canceling my membership in 2015($20.00 a month). I stopped further payments. 2 months later the harassment to pay an extra month started and I haven't stopped receiving emails from this business. They are now claiming to take me to small claims court.
Billing Adjustment I would like to stop being harassed for services not received and for canceling my membership appropriately.
Mr. was a valued customer for over 1 year. He did not properly cancel his monthly paying agreement. No signed cancellation form or last months payment per the contract he signed on 1-9-2015. All of our agreements require 30 day cancellation notice and signed cancellation form to be terminated. He was given multiple opportunities to pay the remaining $20 he owed without late fees but declined. He has not been dealing with CHUCKTOWN FITNESS since November of 2016. He has been corresponding with Swift Funds collection agency since that time. His experience with them has not been a pleasant one I assume. CHUCKTOWN FITNESS accepts zero responsibility for Mr. inability or choice to not cancel his membership properly. We harbor no ill will towards Mr. and he would always be welcome to join again in the future.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Start off by saying I was never informed I needed to sign any documentation when I informed them I was canceling. Secondly I have had zero correspondence with any other company about them hounding me for $20 of services I did not have. I still receive emails from Chucktown fitness not any other company. I can deliver said emails to prove that I have received correspondence from them and not another company. Nice to offer another membership to their gym but obviously that would be a terrible decision on my part when they are trying to con $20 out of me currently. I would also ask again for Chucktown fitness to stop contacting me via email

Does this mean I will stop being contacted for services I did not receive?
We have removed Mr. from our emailing list per his request.
