Review: I purchased a car from the lot of Van Horn and was never told that it has a branded title against it. We were told that it was returned because the couple that purchased it said there was a scratch on the car but not that we had a Salvaged title. We paid a lot for this car and now are told we will NEVER get our money from it. This was never explained to us at the time of purchase and we spent the entire day dealing with multiple individuals at this car lot thinking it was legit. This is blindsided us terribly.Desired Settlement: I would like them to give us a full refund for the value of this car at time of purchase. I am trying to purchase a different vehicle and now am told that this $25000 car is worth nothing or half of that price. This is not right and not sure how this is even legal in Wisconsin. At a minimum I would want a trade of my choice. Why weren't we notified this was a branded titile and if they say we were we did not have any understanding of what that means and they did not disclose that information. This is a very shady unethical way to do business.

Response:
Hello,
We have looked into this complaint along with the customer and this customer purchased from our Dodge store (Van Horn Dodge, Jeep, Ram) located right next door. Therefore it is posted on the incorrect business page.
If this could be removed, that'd be greatly appreciated.
If someone could notify us when this has been done, we'd greatly appreciate that as well!
Thank You!

Review: On Feb 21, 2014 I went to location and my brake pads and machine rotors were replaced on my vehicle. On June 9, (today) I went in to have an oil change and asked to have my brakes looked at; they had been squeeling and vehicle would shimmy/shake occassionally. I was told I would have to pay to have the rotors fixed, that they were carroded. According to my invoice from Feb 21 the rotors were machined as required for even surface and road tested. I was told I would only have to pay the difference between what I paid in Feb and what the cost of fixing the rotors would be today. The salesman also said that the rotors were machined and grinded and not done some other way (my apologies I do not recall what method he was talking about). He then shared that they (the dealership) had "been trying to save me money" in Feb by grinding instead of other method. I also wondered how the rotors could be suffering from so much corrision that the brakes do not work properly when they were "repaired" only 3 months ago. How could they become so correded in such a short period of time as to make another brake repair necessary. I was also told that the rotors were not the problem the last time but the brake pads were, however, I have a copy of my invoice and the rotors were machined, as mentioned above.Desired Settlement: Brakes in complete repair at no cost to me since I've already paid to have them repaired once already this year... Thanks

I have spoken with our Service Manager, [redacted], and he has been in contact with [redacted] about this issue.
We did not damage the rotors, it was just normal wear and tear to the part. When machining the rotor, they do not touch the brake pads or the bracket they rest on where the rust is growing.
He did offer to refund the cost of the machining of her rotors and offered to install new rotors at no cost to her, she would only have to pay for the parts, new rotors.
She said this was not reasonable solution to the problem, and also came in with a friend and he also said it was not reasonable and he can get rotors for $25. We then offered to install any parts for them that they would purchase at no cost. Again, this wasn’t acceptable to them.
If they would like to, they can contact our service manager at [redacted] to discuss this matter further.
Thank you,
