Review: I applied for an apartment with Chrome Residential in January 2015 and put down a deposit of $2400 and a $100 application fee. They did not give me the apartment. I asked for my deposit back and after weeks of non-response, Jacob B[redacted] delivered a check payable for the amount of $2400. This check was returned for insufficient funds. Since January, Jacob B[redacted] has made numerous promises in writing to return the deposit, but has failed to do so. He was extremely unprofessional in his interactions with me and in his correspondence. It has now been eight months.
This seems to be a consistent business practice of Chrome Residential, as I found other [redacted] reviewers with the same problem: [redacted]Desired Settlement: I wish to get a refund of $2400 for my deposit and the $100 application fee, along with the interest I would have collected had I still had that money for the 8 months this has taken.
Review: After viewing apartments with Chrome Residential and selecting one in our price range, my friend and I gave Jacob Benchlouch a security deposit towards first month's rent. After he continuously raised the rental price, which we later found out was always much higher than the price he originally quoted us for, we decided to not move forward with the apartment. Jacob refused to return our deposit, taking it as his broker's fee that he did not earn. He owe us our money plus the interest it has accrued.Desired Settlement: The company has an obligation to return our money as mandated by the court, including the accruing interest.
