Being given the run around and not telling me the truth. Withholding to do thing before paying and after paying refusing to get it done.
I bout a 2013 Dodge Ram Truck on 3/11/20.Everything was going well to the best of my knowledge. I had given them $1500 deposit on that day, and to give him the remaining $1000 later. No date was really decide on when I was going to them the rest. I took the truck after they were suppose to have fix a couple of kinks to the truck. They told that they had a financial bank that had accepted my application and that I would be contacted by them. A couple of weeks went by and nothing, also, the truck was misfiring and engine light on. Unfortunately, the Corvid-19 happen and we were stay at home. I live 3 hours from the Auto Sales so it's a very long trip. Also, I also had lost my job because of the corona virus. I had called them to tell them that it might take a little time before I can give them the rest of the money, they said okay. I ask about my tag and they keep telling me that it had not come in. They kept telling me that for about two weeks. The truck was misfiring a lot so I took a chance and to it to the dealer to get it fix because he would not allow me to have it fix near my house, because he didn't want to pay for it. I took it to them showed them in writing what was wrong with it and then they said they would order the parts. The first thing asked was where is their money. I was going to pay half of the thousand I owed but the guy had left the office. I got home and asked my sister to call to see when they will fix my truck. I would told that until I pay something that it will not get fix. I sent $500 thru Zelle so they got it immediately. Then I got the run around again and would not get a response to when it would get fix. After a week I was told that it was going to cost too much to fix and didn't know if they would. I also asked for about two weeks the name or phone number for the finance company because I hadn't received anything from them. My sister finally got a number from them. Me and my sister called the finance company (Automotive Credit Corporation)and they said they had no paperwork about me just an application but nothing else. I let that one go for now. My tag had expires and again I called to get info on the tags arrival. Told me that it still hadn't arrived. I told them I needed a new temporary tag, first said okay. After waiting all day then they told that until I paid the remaining $500 they would not give me the temp tag. I sent $500 thru Zelle again. Then sent me the temp tag. I called again today to see about the tag and I was told that until I made two monthly payment to them not the finance company they will not go and issue a tag. First, I do believe this is some type of scam, I have never heard such a thing, If it was a buy here pay here I could understand. But the truck was suppose to be finance thru a bank. They are not going to fix the truck and are withholding my tag for no good reason. I need my tag because they won't give me another one. All this has been going on for 4 weeks straight now.
I would like to get my tag with no more delays or trying to say that I have to pay more money when I don't owe them anything any more. I know that nothing is going to get done with them fixing the truck because of the corona virus is pass the 30 day warranty. Which I still believe they should honor.I want to make my payments to the finance company that I am suppose to and not the dealership. I think they just want two months payment and then they will process it to the finance company which should have been done since the very beginning.
I put down $1,500 on a 2015 Ram Promaster from Chris Auto in Miami, Fl on 2/12/20. I mentioned I may need a second van soon, so they suggested I put down $3k and they will get me second van whenever I am ready no down payment. ( I should've known something was wrong when they asked me to lie to the bank/Lien holder saying I put down $3k for 1 vehicle when in reality it was for 2). The salesman hand wrote and signed the contract stating they would cover, any transmission and engine issues for 30 days.
On 2/13 I went to actually remove the vehicle from the lot for my driver to go on the road that evening. However the A/C wasnt functioning properly, the back door handle wouldn't open, plus the left h/l wasnt working. So they kept the vehicle and additional day to make those minor repairs. After this was corrected, on 2/14 my driver got on the road to head to Ohio. The van broke down the next morning in Charlotte, NC. This is 48 HOURS after purchase!!!
I HAD TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTICS plus a hotel for my driver. To date the van has had 2 diagnostics, that will be an estimated $4k.
The transmission is bad. Dodge has apparently DISCONTINUED a part, plus the clutch is bad and there is an issue with the actuator. The van is still in the shop. I am out of service and paying a hotel for my driver. The owner asked me to have the van shipped from Ohio to Florida so he can repair it at a cheaper cost'! Which means I would be out of more money. The nerve'! I am devastated as this was a new business venture for me. I'm stuck in a w/ a $20k loan that I haven't even made the first payment on!!!! and the owner at Chris Auto is not being responsive. No resolution. Can anyone help'??'? What recourse or leverage do I have'! I will never recommended anyone to this dealer. They sold me a lemon. Within 48 hours the van broke down and now they won't even respond!!! These guys are doing shady business. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM CHRIS AUTO.
Product_Or_Service: Cargo Van
Refund I no longer want the vehicle. I want my $3,000 deposit back and for this loan to be cancelled. Any advise? Assistance would be appreciated.
