Bought a used vehicle from 1st choice auto in St. Cloud, MN July 29, 2016. The vehicle was brought back to the dealership soon after purchasing due to lights being out in the inner console & the TPS sensor being on, on the dash. The dealer stated he would fix the problem after he ordered parts & he would fix it at no cost to me as the problems were there before I bought the vehicle. Once I was able to get the vehicle into the dealership, the dealer stated I needed to buy the parts & then they would install them. I immediately went to his supervisor & told him the problem. He then talked with the dealer I was dealing with & had the parts bought & installed at no cost to me (11/28-30/16). 12/29/16 I had made an appointment for my jeep to be seen as I was having problems with vibrating while driving the vehicle. After a consecutive 28 days in the dealership and bringing the vehicle back in 3 times for this problem when the dealership told me to come get it as it was "fixed", the vibrating was finally taken care of. The vehicle needed the entire drive shaft rebuilt, a ring & pinion including a gear, cup, bearing & seal. The vehicle also had transmission flushed & found the wrong fluid was in it for who knows how long. The correct fluid was added & a shutter fluid was added as the torque converter on the transmission was found to not be sealing correctly instead of replacing it. Then began issues with covering the cost of this fix and the warranty on the vehicle. 12/1/17 I brought the vehicle into the dealership again for problems with starting and violent shaking while starting the vehicle becoming more prevalent. Dealer stated it's the battery testing weak without testing anything else & was "unable to find report when they inspected the vehicle before I bought it." I then called a dodge dealer in my area to obtain information on the battery for warranty purposes, they called the dealership I bought it from & they told the dodge dealer they did not change the battery as they had records pulled up
Response received via fax to Revdex.com -- scan is attached; text of letter reads as follows:
"To whom it may concern:
We are responding to a complaint filed #***, in regards to a warranty. We have a complimentary 2-year / 24,000 miles limited powertrain warranty. All of the concerns were not covered under the free warranty, however we have address all the customer's concerns to the best of our abilities.
Sincerely,
1st Choice Auto"
I am rejecting this response because:This complaint against First Choice Auto was due to many factors including warranties guaranteeing their work and other factors including not being able to obtain the inspection report of the vehicle before purchasing. Since buying the vehicle many corrections to it have been made by the dealership. Further problems have arisen recently which have brought it back to the dealership for inspection. nothing definitive had been found at this point with the last problem found. an inspection report was then requested to see about a possible replacement part to which I was told they could not "find it". all that has been requested has been Fair to which the dealership has not Been Complacent With.
