Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/01/21) */
I have apologized to the customer via email. The customer received a full refund and he has cashed the check. The 4 boxes of chocolates worth $200 were received and were not returned to us. The order was placed on the date given. The customer...
chose to send the package USPS Priority Mail, not Express Mail. Priority mail does not give a guaranteed delivery date, shipping during the holiday season is unpredictable. The package was picked up by our postal carrier the following day. Once it leaves our hands the package is processed by USPS. I understand the customer wanted to have the chocolates for an event on December 18 or 19. USPS does give an estimated delivery date of 2-3 days. The type of shipping was the customer's choice. I did talk with the customer and indicate I would refund his money. I got his angry email on 1/11 and I responded and put a check in the mail within minutes of reading his email. The check was cashed and cleared my bank on 1/19. My company is not responsible for his overdraft charges. I consider the matter closed.
