Review: After ordering carry-out over the phone for delivery, the driver from China Inn Deli called my house phone stating he was outside with my food. So I opened my door and he was in his delivery car out on the street. I waved my hand and motioned for him to come to the door, as I was not properly dressed to walk out to the street. I thought that delivery meant to the door, not to his car on the street. So I finally walked to the car to ask why he would't deliver the food to the door and he replied, " It's Southeast and you people are crazy." I was offended by his remarks and told him, "We are still a community of hard working individuals and there are crazy people in Northwest, Northeast, and Southwest. And if China Inn Deli chooses to set up business in our community, we deserve the same respect that they would give to a different demographic in another area in DC." I personally work in the customer service industry and I don't discriminate or give less service to a certain demographic because people are individuals and can't be stereotyped or put into a box.Desired Settlement: I would like one of two things to happen: Either China Inn Deli revamp their delivery policy to better serve the community they choose to do business in and profit off of. Or they can specify in their advertisement that they don't offer "home/door delivery" but rather "street delivery" so that individuals are better informed on what services they truly offer and can make a more informed decision on whether they want to do business with China Inn Deli.
