Chimney Medic

We hired them to do a chimney sweep and check our chimney. There were many issues; they were two hours late, they didn't actually sweep the bottom of the chimney, they said there was $2000 worth of work needed on the chimney but didn't actually give us a real quote to explain what that meant, they asked me to throw a steak knife up to the guy on the roof, and the owner was more interested in discussing himself and his volunteer business than he was in discussing what I actually needed to know. He gave us a discount "because the chimney is unusable." He had me make out the check directly to him and not the company, and said I didn't need to sign the receipt. The whole thing seemed very shady, didn't help us get a second opinion on what was needed, and was a waste of time and money.
