I will ever use this business ever again nor would I recommend anyone using them! The owner is nice, but the person who I dealt with (***) was the most unfriendly, untruthful person I have ever metI had my coo coo clock repaired there and went through a terrible encounter with them I was okay that it took over a month to have it fixedI was okay that the cost was almost ***$It was all worth it because I have a lot of sentimental attachment to this clockIt was one that my Mom bought years ago before I was born, one that I hear coo-coo every morning and since I lost my Mom when I was 17, I always felt a little of my Mom with me everyday hearing it coo-cooBUT I wasn't okay with the fact that the leaf on the pendulum was different than the one I had on my original clockI asked right away what happened to my original one and they stammered around saying that they didn't know, that it was brought in that way, that mistakes happen...on and on*** then asked to speak to the owner in privateI said, okay...what is going on here? When the owner came back he went on and on about not punishing people for mistakes, and that they didn't know what happened, that it didn't make any difference Then the owner said that he would not charge meBy this time I was almost in tearsI said I didn't bring my clock in for free serviceI will pay what was done to fix itBut I expect them to go back and check with all the coo coo clock clients they had and find the leaf that was my original leafAnd that I would be calling daily until they had checked every one of themThe owner even brought out all the files that they had done and showed me how much work it would takeI said that this wasn't my mistake, it was theirsI wanted to say it was my mistake bringing it in to them! *** was quiet after that and the owner went through how this was the first time in all the years he has been in business that he has had this kind of encounter! He said he had a bad year and this just topped it offWent on about water pipes breaking, wife died, and on and onI kept thinking to myself that I am so sorry for all your problems, but who does that to a customer???? So oddly enough, the same day in the evening I get this call from *** saying they located the original leaf, that it was given by mistake to another customer and that customer was kind enough to bring it into them right away! *** then said that he would be happy to change out those parts for me!!!! I went over and had *** change out the part for meNO apologyNothing other than hope you have a nice day from meThe more I look back to this, the more it makes me madBut at least I have my clock back with its right partI will drive to Denver or Chicago next time to get my clock fixed before using this business againAND if the owner retires and sells it off to ***, I hope that he takes a few classes on how to deal with customersFirst rule: tell the truthWhatever happened to being honest?
