Chex Systems is evil
Chex Systems is just the latest way for banks to bully consumers. If you have a charge off, Chex Systems will block you from being able to open a bank account anywhere in the country, yet, you can't resolve the charge off with them. Evil system to punitively harm consumers for minor debts to banks.

I am rejecting this response because:What is phone number where I can reach a human

Chex Systems, Inc(Chex) has reviewed the complaint filed by this consumerChex is a nationwide specialty consumer reporting agency under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)Chex services primarily assist its clients in assessing the risk of opening new accounts When providing this service Chex abides by the requirements of the FCRA and any applicable state statutes Chex neither approves nor declines accounts for our clients The decision to open an account is entirely up to an institution and its policies In response to an inquiry made by a client, Chex may return a message of approve or decline on the screen but the message is based on the parameters chosen by the financial institution based on their policiesWhile the number of inquiries may be used in assessing the risk of opening an account, as explained above, Chex does not make account opening decisions for its clients, and therefore, cannot determine why the bank declined the account applicationOur records show that during the consumer's 1/29/conversation with a representative, she requested a call back from a supervisor When the supervisor accessed her file to return the call, he discovered that the consumer had called back on 1/30/and had already spoken with another supervisor, so no additional attempts were made to contact the consumerThe complaint references lien information shared with Chex by Lexis Nexis, and states that the liens reported have been released Based on this dispute, the consumer's file has been forwarded to the appropriate personnel for handlingWe will contact Lexis Nexis to notify them of the dispute and will request that they investigate the accuracy of the information they shared with usChex will notify the consumer of the results of the investigation once it is completed
