We had an issue with our account, automatic withdraw from our bank account to the HOA Chesapeake Bay management company. They are saying that we have $70 in late fees when I thought that, that is why people setup automatic withdraw to avoid late fees. We feel like we have also been charged with other ridiculous fees. Also I can not talk to a single person about it, they want to discuss everything in writing, which I understand, but would like to talk to a person about this serious matter.
I live in the Belmont Park community in Suffolk, a community in which they manage. It seems to me that this company fails to pressure the Home Owners Associate board members when they step out of line. Board members in my community will aggressively confront you and insult you if they feel you have violated the rules in any way. I was asked to remove my 3x5 American flag I hung on my front porch. They, apparently, consider a flag holder to be an exterior modification and require you to submit an application for approval, by the HOA board. Regardless of their opinion on whether they consider that legal or illegal, it is non the less a restriction on flying an American flag. I hope they correct this policy immediately, and not wait for the HOA board members to pass a resolution. Bottom line, the entire situation has angered my household to the point that we will be moving to a neighborhood not under their management. I recommend they adopt new policies to guide HOA board members.
