I moved into an apartment at Cherry Creek Nov 23rd, 2015. I was told by the leasing agent (at the time, she's now the apt manager) previous to my move-in date that the apt was completely clean and since I knew someone that lived there, I should know what the layout looked like. I was in a hurry to get out of my previous living situation at the time so I got the keys the day I signed the lease and didn't actually see the apt until the next morning when I was to move in my belongings. On my move-in date, I opened the door to the apt and was immediately taken aback by the way the apt smelled, it smelled overwhelmingly like urine and the place was filthy top to bottom. You could smell the apt at the foot of the stairs when the door was open (I live on 2nd floor) I told the leasing agent and she said the property manager was in the process of being fired and he had said the apartment was ready for move-in so she was sorry. I ended up cleaning the entire apartment myself. Bleached the floors, scraped up grime & paint stuck to the floors, cleaned the cabinets, the counter tops (bth counter had some type of body hair all over it), etc! Then after staying the night, come to find out I could only take 3 minute showers before the water went cold. I took pictures throughout the entire 2 week deep cleaning process as evidence of the condition of the apt. The back bedroom is not livable, I can't even open the door without gagging on the urine smell. They said they cleaned the carpets twice before my move in and they cleaned them once while I was there on Dec. 5th, 2015. Smell is still there, no change. The leasing agent said she'd take care of the mishap, including compensating me for having to clean the place. No one has called me regarding the compensation, even after calling the office and corporate, the new maint guy that started the week of the 14th in Dec. came and "fixed" the water so now I can take 10 min showers. I haven't stayed in the apt since the middle of Dec, the smell gives me headaches.Product_Or_Service: Leased ApartmentDesired SettlementI would like my out of my lease contract, the entire deposit ($500), pet deposit ($300), ($685) for December) that I put down for the apartment, and any other amt paid to the business refunded in full so I can move elsewhere.
