Chem-Dry Middleton

I was referred to this company by a friend and I had them clean a duplex in Middleton with someone moving out on Saturday and someone else moving in Monday morning. I was having trouble finding someone who could accommodate my Sunday schedule and Nick, who was accustomed to doing turnovers, said he would get it in. He did the carpet cleaning and was in the duplex less than two hours. The duplex was in immaculate condition and had been cleaned only one year ago for $148.00, not to mention the carpet is only three years old. We had residents in the duplex that did not smoke and had no pets.
I was completely shocked when I received his invoice of $372.20. This is unheard of for a rental property. I sent an email to the Carnation ChemDry "[email protected] with no response. In my email to the customer care line I explained that I would be willing to pay half of the bill and sent the payment. I have received no correspondence from this company with the exception of another invoice for the balance. There is absolutely no way I would have approved this carpet cleaning had I known the price. This is completely out of line and he was obligated to give me a quote, verbal or otherwise. There was no contract signed for this and I did not agree to this cost.
