Waited over one hour in exam room waiting for doctor during scheduled appointment. Needed to get a referral. both referral coordinators were on lunch
1/24/20. Had scheduled a follow up appointment for my extreme shoulder pain. Had to wait almost 1 month to get an appointment even though I am an established patient. After waiting that long, I then had to wait 1 hr past my appointment time at the Columbia office to see my provider. She was a greater provider I am just upset about the wait. I sat in the exam room alone for almost one hour! In the end I was told I needed a referral and to goto the referral desk. I waited there 10 mins and say no one in sight so I went to the front desk. Both referral coordinators were on lunch at the same exact time (this makes no sense business/customer service-wise) and I was told "oh well you can either wait or maybe they will mail the referral". In the end I still have no referral and will never return to chase Brexton Columbia

We've looked at our process and staffing to ensure patients needs are met at the time of service. Also working with support staff to update patients on when they should expect to be seen, hopefully reducing wait time.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
At no point did the staff ever update me On my wait time even as I sat alone in the doctors exam room for 45 mins to an hour. This response does not address the heart of the issues nor does the business respond to any of my numerous examples of unacceptable customer service. Can the business be more specific about what they will do to make sure this stipulation won't be happening to others? Can the business explain why they have a feedback line if no one answers or returns messages left on it? Can the business explain why the Columbia office has a reputation for disorganization and long wait times even though you have scheduled an appointment? Can the business explain why 2 referrals coordinators are sent to lunch together instead of having an overlapping coverage at the desk? It is clear that their attempts to fix this issue are not working
