Charlestowne Apartments

On 11/20/19 I applied for unit *** at this complex which was listed for $700 a month. I was approved using *** at which time I was told that I would pay my first month rent to them which I paid on 11/29 for December. I signed my lease on 12/12 and I was given a waiver for $200 off the following months rent. I was sent an electronic copy of the lease at which time I advised Yolanda that I could not see the entire lease. On 12/27, I paid $500 for Jan. rent, but noticed that my balance was more than it should have been. I called and was told that all adjustments had not been made, but on 1/5 when I paid the $10 rental insurance fee it still had not been corrected. On 1/6, I was charged a late fee of $78.50 at which time I was told my rent was $785 and I asked to speak with the manager but never received a call. I paid $300 on 1/14 toward Feb. rent awaiting a call to have this matter corrected. I must say that Maya has been very helpful because I also didn't know that water, trash and sewage were not included with my rent. I have spoken with six different people since this all began and finally someone named John called me today. He stated that I would be signing a new lease for $714 tomorrow. I advised him that the listing for the unit was $700 at which time he became very unprofessional and dismissed the conversation.
