Review: Daniel Benji a Senior sales associate at Rutenberg stolied a $500 Chase quick pay deposit from my Chase checking account. Daniel did not explain the riders in the lease that would cause the rent to increase within the first year. When I emailed him that I do not feel comfortable signing this type of lease and I want my $500.00 good faith deposit back. He replied that "If I do not feel comfortable I'm sorry, however your $500.00 is non-refundable". At no time did he tell me this was a non-refundable deposit.Desired Settlement: He stole $500 from me.

Review: I hired a realtor by the name of [redacted] who works for CHARLES RUTENBERG LLC to find me a 3 bedroom apartment in the [redacted] showed me several apartments. I picked one and I was told that a down payment of $2,875 so that they can take it off the market and I would get my papers signed that was April * 2015 it is July * 2015 and didn't get the apartment or my money back.Desired Settlement: I want my money back

Charles Rutenberg, LLC is an ethical firm comprised of ethical and professional agents. Unfortunately, all it takes is one bad person to cause problems for a firm and the consumer. That is exactly what [redacted] has done. He was disassociated from our firm last month. I have spoken to [redacted], and have indicated that we will do all we can to recover her funds. We are deeply sorry this happened to her.
