Chapon's Greenhouses

Review: I purchased a Flowering Dogwood Tree at Chapon's Greenhouse on 10/11/2015. At the time I was told that the tree was guaranteed for 3 years. I needed to keep the receipt, the tag from the tree and register it with the grower. I did all three. The tree was planted the same day as the purchase date, using the instructions and additional products that Chapon's recommended and sold to me. The tree died. I contacted Chapon's and was told that I would need to dig up the tree and return it to them along with the receipt and tag. I did this. I was first told that they would replace the tree, then the salesman said because there was a difference in price I would need to make up the difference in cost. He stated that Chapon's guaranteed the price not the tree. Then I was told that their policy had changed and they were no longer handling the return I would need to go back to the grower. My complaint is that they changed their policy with no regard to the customer and when called they obviously did not even know their policy had changed as they instructed me to dig up the tree and bring it back to them. Now all I have is a dead tree and now I have to go through this entire process again with the grower.Desired Settlement: For Chapon's to honor their original agreement.
