Chandler West Emission and Auto repair

Took our *** to Chandler West Auto to have them check it out and get through Az. Auto Emissions. The charge was going to be $200. They took it through twice and the car failed the emissions. They did not tell us of the Az. VVR Program whereby a car that fails emissions twice it can have the state pay $550 plus your $150 for repairs.
That was deceptive of Chandler West Auto and its manager.
Besides the $400 they charged they wanted another $715 for a total cost to us of $1,115.
We paid the $400 but put it into dispute willing to pay the original $200 they asked.
We spoke with the Arizona emissions chief and his unit manager John G.
We were advised to take our car to *** in Mesa, Az.
We did. The car was repaired by them and it passed the emissions test.
Our cost was $150 and the state paid $550 for a total cost of $700.
John G of the Az Emissions Department was extremely helpful. The $550 came under the Arizona VVR Program.
Very disappointed that Chandler West Auto manager deceived us. However, I wish this notice helps others and enables Chandler West to be more up front with its customers and tells them of the VVR Program. Honesty is the best policy.
