I want to transfer the domain "***" from champ domains to *** where I have my website and online store. In order to do that I need an authorization code from champ domains. There is no phone number to call and they haven't answered my emails. I am looking for help to get the company to respond and to let me transfer my domain.
Sincerely
Authorization code to transfer the domain to
This appears to be a fly-by-night operation... grossly incompetent at best, possibly a complete scam.
Bought an Internet domain last year.... somehow ended up with ChampDomains (aka***) as the registrar. Paid $35 to renew domain four days before deadline... got confirmation from both ChampDomains and the CC company.
BUT, ChampDomains still let the domain expire... they are still emailing me for money to "renew" the domain. Three weeks after paying them, they still have the domain listed as expired.
Haven't been able to get anyone to respond either by email inquiry or telephone (the phone number may be a residence).
So basically, they stole my $ 35, and put my ownership of the domain in jeopardy.
Worse yet, I've been trying to transfer the domain to a legitimate registrar, and ChampDomains is apparently refusing to authorize the transfer.
So now I have to cancel the CC charge (at least I'll eventually get my money back),and file a transfer complaint with ICANN (the organization that governs Internet domains).
