The company was hired to remove a pine tree and grind the stump out. On August 5th the company arrived and removed the tree. The worker stated someone would be back in 3 to 5 days to remove the stump. The company was paid in full for the tree removal and stump removal on this day. The company has not returned to remove the stump. I have made several phone calls to the company with no response from anyone about the stump removal. The company needs to come and finish the job they have been fully paid for.
This is a letter of complaint concerning: "Certified Tree Experts," tele. #:, or . The
address is ***.
I received a flyer in the mail concerning their services, and called these people.
Some fellow came out on June 6 2019, to talk with my wife and I. We walked over our property, showing what we'd like done: There were 6 large trees that needed to be trimmed, 6 SMALL Rose of Sharon trees to cut down / dispose of /and grind down the stumps. There were also a couple of SMALL old stumps that needed to be ground down. The price he gave to trim the larger trees, and cut down the small trees was $400.00. Then to grind the stumps would be another $100.00. We agreed.
On 6-11-2019, a crew came out and did the work that was agreed on except for the grinding of the stumps. The
fellow told me that they didn't have the grinder with them, but-that someone would come out in a few days to finish
the job.
After several days, I called this company to see when they'd return to finish the job. I was told that someone
would call me -nothing. Several days later, the same thing. The 3rd time I called was on July 2nd, with the same
answer, and no one called back.
Today, July 17th, when it was raining, I saw a fellow trying to get in my gate. I opened the door and asked him
what he wanted. He told me that he was here to grind down a tree stump. I explained that there were SEVERAL
tree stumps, He said he had orders for only one. He made a phone call, and said someone would call me. I went
inside and waited for the call.
Upon receiving the phone call. I told the fellow that his worker had orders to grind only one stump, but that we
paid a hundred dollars to have SEVERAL stumps taken care of.
We argued over the phone, until I finally ask if he intended to fulfill the verbal contract, to which he said, "No."
At which time I hung up.
On their estimate, enclosed, they neglected to note the cutting and removal of the Rose of Sharon trees --- AND
the number of stumps to be grinded. All the stumps are small, so I can't understand why there was a problem.
Be as it may, this company owes us $100.00, because NO stumps were grinded.
Hopefully, you can be our contact, and get my money refunded.
