very detailed and itemized breakdown of charges directly to insurance for payment of the mitigation that they approved of and paid directly to the insured, and how we worked off of the detailed summary provided by the insurance carrier for items that we cared for on repairs. The repair process was confused further with a change in scope when customer decided to care for part of the repairs on their own while we cared for others. It was also later realized that some of the repairs that we performed, such as painting, were performed in one area of the home (main level), but for whatever reason was held off of painting upstairs which was not understood until afterwards. After further consideration, when considering allowances that were built into the estimate, it was evident that some of the items that we did care for did not have adequate coverage, or weren't even originally built into the estimate (such as replacing insulation in the crawl space) but there were things added to the adjuster's estimate that were not needed or performed, so in a sense there was a canceling out of some charges in exchange for others but not well received by insured. Since then, I have been in communication with the insurance carrier and they have asked that I send them a supplement of charges for the items not covered in their original estimate and they will issue payment to insured again for this. Our initial mitigation invoice was issued directly to insurance on 6/3/16, was reviewed and approved and paid to owner, yet we still have not received any payment for any portion of work performed on this property. Hoping that my latest efforts to explain the process and working directly with their carrier will help to resolve this matter as the adjuster said that he would reach out to the insured about the matter.
