I purchased a radiator from this location on 2/17/2020. My car is a 2002 Honda Accord Value Package with a 2.3 liter Engine. Automatic Transmission. I specified this information to the front desk clerk. Earlier in the morning I had also called this warehouse and mentioned that I notice in the Certifit catalog that there were two radiators for my car. The Clerk that answered my call in the morning said he was a mechanic and he had heard of the Denso brand but never the Valeo brand and laughted.
I came in and after discussion we both agreed on the Denso radiator as the one that would properly fit my car. I got the radiator in a box paid for it and left. When I got home I noticed that the brand was actually CRYOMAX. A brand not even in their catalog. I was never told that the radiator I actually received would NOT be the Denso nor the Valeo brand. I assumed it was the Denso on the invoice.
At home I called Certifit Milwaukee and mentioned that the radiator I received was not the Denso nor the Valeo brand but was a Cryomax brand. I was told that I can return it. I was initially told on the phone that the brand I received was a more EXPENSIVE brand and should still fit. I asked if there was any radiators left for my car and was told that I took the last one.
When the mobile auto mechanic came to my house he could not get the fans to fit the Cryomax radiator. He was being paid by the job visit and upset. We agree that for an extra $10.00 I would ride in his car to Advance Auto Parts and get a radiator that was available that actually fit my car. It was a bit more expensive radiator but the mechanic was in a hurry. The Advance Auto Part Radiator fit easily into my car and the Fan fitted perfectly.
I came back in later in the afternoon to return the CRYOMAX radiator. At first one of the workers did not want to return the CRYOMAX because there was radiator fluid on it. I told him the mechanic did not put any radiator fluid in it. He did not believe me. I told the clerk that the channel that the CRYOMAX fitted in was just filled with radiator fluid from the old radiator no radiator fluid was pored inside. Why would anyone pour radiator fluid into a new radiator if none of the cooling fans fits on the radiator anyway?? Regardless I did get a refund because I received a Cryomax instead of the Denso that was specified on the invoice.
The manager of the place come out. I was surprised that they did indeed have ANOTHER radiator for my car. This was contrary to what I was told by a clerk on the Telephone. (I could have came back for this radiator instead of going to get the Advance Auto Parts Radiator). This other radiator was the Valeo radiator listed in the catalog. The “manager” said he noticed a difference between the radiator I returned and the Valeo radiator he pulled from the warehouse. Mind you the radiator I returned was not even a Denso but a Cyromax.
The manager instead of apologizing to me for getting the part wrong on the part of Certifit blamed me for insisting on a Denso radiator that was wrong and the Valeo was the one that fitted my car. I told him we all agree that the primary thing is to get a part that fitted my car. I mentioned the exact specification for my car before the order. Why would I get a Lexus part that does not fit a Corolla and then come back?? I only mention the Denso because I know that they are a OEM supplier for Honda. After all the initially clerk who was an mechanic and he agreed that the Denso radiator was the one that fitted my car with the specification I provided to him.
Coming here in the End cost me more. I would give them Zero Stars if I can.
I bought two fenders from CertiFit of Milwaukee. When I went to get them painted I discovered they both were damaged. When I brought them back to the company they told me it was my responsibility to inspect them before I left. However no one ever mentioned that to me and there were no signs or anything to indicate that I should have to inspect the parts. Since I was buying them brand new and they were wrapped up in cardboard and bubble wrap I just assumed they would be in good condition. When I contacted the corporate office they made a couple phone calls for me and returned with the decision that they are not willing to swap out the damaged parts for undamaged parts. Stating that it was my responsibility to inspect them before I left.
