Century 21 Rautmann/Schils Real Estate

Review: I was selling a house with [redacted] Real Estate and put in an offer with them on a house that [redacted] from Century 21 Rautmann/ Schils Real Estate was listing. I ended up terminating the agreement with [redacted] because of not working to sell my house. When things were not going well with [redacted] I had been talking with [redacted]. which is not an ethical practice, but I did not realize this. I did express my discouragement with [redacted]. [redacted] then offered to list my house and did end up being my listing agent. This also was not really a good thing to do since she was the listing agent for the house I was intending to buy. I did not realize the implications would have had. At a point in time, [redacted] stepped in on behalf of [redacted] with the house I was intending to buy since I was not happy with them and said she would take care of things. I had been extending our offer to purchase since I could not sell my house, but when I did, the inspection for the house I was intending to buy happened just 3 days before the closing date of May 24, 2013. Unfortunately, no one offered to have the closing date extended and the inspection went terribly wrong. I was not told that I should put in writing what we wanted to be fixed, which [redacted] should have since she was "taking care of things." I also was not given any written details of what would be or when things woud be fixed. Since the closing passed and things were not moving along, I decided not to pursue this purchase. The closing date had come and gone and I feel I deserve my earnest money of $500.00 to be returned since it is obvious that I was not represented by anyone and [redacted] was not really ethical in her actions.Desired Settlement: I would like my $500.00 earnest money returned to me since [redacted] of Century 21 Rautmann/Schils Real Estate was not ethical in her practices.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I am writing you because of the email I received from the Revdex.com with a

response from the business. I emailed the gentleman we had been dealing

with letting him know I did not receive half of my earnest money. He

said he never responded to the Revdex.com and is going to see if the check was

sent and when. I am not sure what is going on, but I am not able to

reply to the response in the 10 days requested.
