Poor communication --did not receive the windows I ordered--and the service was poor. Still waiting for information and warrenty.
Windows ordered 8/9/19-I was a referral from a neighbor who had windows installed from this company. The salesman was aware of what windows I spoke of --- as my neighbor received a gift card from this company for referring me. During the entire process this company schedules work on the calendar on their website and calls the day before to inform you of their upcoming arrival--I state "I won't be here" the caller always states "you don't need to be there." Someone did come out & measured, said it would cost another 1,000.00 due to the way my ceiling on the lanai was made. On 9/3/19 I called because I noticed the job had been scheduled on their calendar then removed. The secretary at first stated this was from the hurricane. As we all know there was no hurricane--when I pressed--she then decided the materials were not in.
It was then rescheduled several weeks later on the 'calendar' again--received a call they can't provide removable screens as ordered- I was ok with permanent screens. My neighbor was present during the installation (as I had to work)--when they finished, they stated they were not aware they had to put screens in and left. (per my neighbor) The calendar stated they were coming back the next day---that didn't happen. With in a week they returned and screened. Cocking was missing, the window on the door was broke-once pulled up -wouldn't go back down. Secretary called and wanted payment- -I explained my issue and want to know when they were going to finish the job.
Someone came out unannounced later that day -fortunately I was home...he fixed the broken window, did some cocking that was missing, took off some stickers. I drove him to my neighbors to show him which windows I was to have had installed. Mine has a bar horizontally placed in the middle of the window. He stated it would be easy to correct. I waited to hear---weeks go by.
Someone called this week--and was fully aware of my issue--states the bar has to be there because the windows are over 72 inches. In this process filed a lien against my house for the final payment. I think someone should have told me before installation about this bar, as I would not have had this done or altered the height of the windows. Poor communication-as he acted like I should have known there was going to bar 2-3 inch-wide bar in the middle of the window because the window was over 72 inches.
As it stands close to 8,000.00 for windows I don't like, no instructions on how to take windows out of the track for cleaning, and no instructions received on how to or what to use to clean the acrylic windows. They left the windows smudged, dirty and with manufacturer stickers still on the frame. The salesman told me I would receive the warranty when the job was completed to add the other owner of the home to the warranty. No warranty provided. Who gets paid before the job is completed? Who doesn't check to see if the customer is satisfied with the job? Who leaves a job like this?
Finsh the job!

We do a lot of work in this customers neighborhood. When she spoke with our estimator on the phone, she instructed us to prepare a budget cost for her with the same products that was used for her neighbor. There was a budgetary proposal emailed to her with the requested information with the same Manufacturer, Series, Model, Color and Style used for the neighbor (sight unseen due to appointment conflicts)
Customer then requested an accurate proposal be prepared so our estimator went to her home (Customer not there again due to her schedule, but with her authorization) and prepared an on-site accurate proposal with all of the job requirements for her project. Yes the cost was slightly different from the budget proposal, but was the accurate price for her project.
She was upset about the fact that her windows had a spreader bar mid way up the window due to the fact her windows were taller than the neighbor's. This was a manufacturer requirement, not our or the customers choice.
She was also upset she was not presented with a warranty card and written instructions for use, maintenance and cleaning.
Most manufacturers don't use the old card system anymore (computer documentation and files are adequate) so we cover those items in the "Close-Out" procedures at the completion of the project with demonstrations on use and operation. We can attach the mentioned pages from the "Process and Procedure Manual". Please request if needed.
From what I understand from customer's conversation was that she did not see any of our installers or maintenance personnel due to
the fact she works and was not available at the times we were to be there. She had a house sitter there for our men to perform their work.
We felt the project went very well for a job we didn't have the opportunity to see the customer at all. There are no physical product issues for performance, appearance and functionality all looks goods.
I'm not sure what we could have done different to appease the situation.
Please note the documentation attached to this inquiry for our communications, scheduling and general project control is some of what the customer has constant access to through our portal.

No communication----you have no idea what went on as you were not involved in any way till I said I was going to provide a poor review nd file a complaint--then your employee notified you and you supplied the instructions to remove the windows and to clean them....No one told ne about the bar----it is your responsibility to inform me --not the manufacturer....the salesperson told me I would receive the warranty card after the windows installed--again a communication problem...I did not recieve instructions to clean or eremove on paper or on line via email...till I filed my review of your unprofessional company...yes please attacheat least the Revdex.com will have the papers as I don't. You prescheduled my appt without my knowledge and called the day before stating we are coming tomorrow --when I stated I will be working you stated --you dont have to be there...You could have had some sort of communication other than your calendar...that's what you could have done...Really--where is your customer service...I doubt you will be doing much business after this in my community. It is your responsibility to inform the customer of any difference s or changes from what they wanted--and not rely on the excuse that it is the manufactures issue--as I would have CANCELLED the job....and you most likely knew that....I find your company lacks all communication and does not pay attention to the customer..Good luck in your future business....as my review an complaint stands.........maybe next time you will communicate with the customer
I am sorry you are not happy with the outcome you received even though it is the product you requested. The signed contract (by you) is what you received and we delivered. The workmanship and the quality of the products requested were completed and delivered as specified. CWS fulfilled all the terms of our agreement.
As stated in the signed contract, once the job is completed the balance is due. We have yet to receive the final payment. As for communication we are always available, via phone, email and our portal system (which you connected too). If there was/is another way to communicate it was never stated to us. We do have customers that are not able to use current technology and we assist any way we can.
If you reviewed the response attachments taken from your portal, you can see we are aware of all the communications and details of your project from start to finish. Our portal is for customers like yourself that are not available during normal working hours or have a busy lifestyle. It is a great assist and convenience for many of our customers that don't live here. It allows us to take care of their issues when they are traveling.
Let's keep our timeline straight on the request for warranty and cleaning documentation. The first I heard of the request was from you and you had the information within hours of our conversation. I didn't know of your intent to report to Revdex.com until you told me after requesting aforementioned information. We have a business to run and I stand by our name and reputation as we have been in business for over 55 years. We are requesting final payment for a job that has been completed as per the contract you signed.
Today we received final payment for this job. Thank you.

Unforunately you did not get involved in this issue till I told your guy I was filing a complaint and providing a poor review for a bar in the window and not recieving, instructions, or warrenty. I called him him to give him one last chance to provide me the info--as again I never heard from him on these issues. Evenon this day he simply said he would check on it. Hense the complaint and review. Then I guess he contacted you and you sent the information--in an hour---where were you all along this process? In reality I was only asked once for payment when your secretary called and I informed her of the broken window..need for instructions etc. Then I waited to receive what I asked for...in fact I'm still waiting to get the windows I ordered. In your opinion the job was completed---but it wasn't. Just because you use a calendar to schedule work--your company doesnt feel they need to communicate----if you say the custmer doesnt havve to be there--then so be it--someone then needs to physicially meet with the customer and explain how to clean and remove windows for cleaning etc and see if they are satisfied. your customer service is nonexistant.
CWS just finished replacing the really old windows in my home on the second floor of my building. I can't praise my installers...Lewis and Richard...enough!! They tackled every problem they encountered from the previous badly done install with humor and wisdom. Very creative about getting the job done and doing it well...very professional!! I had several quotes from other companies, but happy that CWS was my choice...local, long standing, honest and use their own employees for installs. The salesperson , Greg, was also very impressive...learned alot about windows and no question went unanswered. If you need to replace windows...this is the place to go!!
Thank you Tommie. We are glad that you are happy with your selection and the installation. Our CWS Team strives to provide great customer service. Starts from our estimator all the way through to our installers. Thanks again!
We had CWS fit new windows & sliding doors in our condo (not an easy job as we're on the 5th floor, it's a historic building so they had to match the older windows in the building, and I wanted white inside, but they had to be bronze on the outside (we weren't the easiest of clients!). They were excellent - working with us to ensure ours (and the condo board's) needs were met. Now for the really important stuff....we had no leaks at all during Hurricane Irma, they held firm, did not let any wind or moisture in! Bonus - they blocked out a lot of the noise too. They also have been great for energy conservation and keep the condo much cooler. Would highly recommend using them to replace your windows and doors....your wallet will thank you (and your nerves too when the next storm blows through!)
CWS thanks you for your wonderful review. We are glad you were protected when Hurricane Irma made it's appearance! Our motto is "Exceeding Standards for Generations". We truly believe in putting in quality products that will last a life time and will hold up against any kind of weather. We thank you for your business Amanda.
