[redacted] Please accept my apologies for the situation described belowOur goal is to provide an amazing event experience to every attendee, and because our 2/17/ [redacted] event unexpectedly sold out on-site Saturday morning, we were unable to provide you and your friends with such an experience“Starcitygames advertised an open which rewards 20,dollars in cashToday in [redacted] , [redacted] at the convention centerUpon arrival from [redacted] ( a hour drive mind you) with me and my friends only to be turned away by Starcitygames we were told we were not allowed to participate, along with many othersStarcitygames claims they were full for that event before the day began, but did not post anything about it on their website or facebook page.” The turnout for our 2/17/ [redacted] event both significantly exceeded our expectations and actually broke our previous attendance recordDespite both of those things, there were still (out of I believe 1,total) seats available on-site when the doors opened on Saturday morningThis was communicated via social media at [redacted] Unfortunately, approximately players who hadn’t preregistered for [redacted] ’ main event beforehand showed up that morning wanting to do so and we were only able to accommodate of those players on-site before the main event reached its capacity and sold outMamy many people drove hours away, from diferent states to participate in this event only to have starcitygames turn us all awayStarcitygames advertised that this event had "day of" registration, but that was not truePlease see aboveStarcitygames had hundreds of people drive this weekend hundreds of miles away to be told they cannot participateThis was not just me but many many others and I would be surprised if there are not more complaints about thisThe number of players who were unable to enter the main event due to it unexpectedly selling out on Saturday morning was approximately We wish we could have accommodated everyone, but unfortunately couldn’t due to space limitationsName of Salesperson: Purchase Price: $Disputed Amount: $I’m not quite sure what this means as you would not have paid the above entry fee unless you’d have actually been able to participate in the main eventAgain, please accept my apologies for the situation discussed aboveIf you have any suggestions for how you think we can better handle similar situations in the future and/or ideas for how we can improve future event experiences for either you personally, or the entire community, please feel free to contact me directly at [redacted] and I’ll be happy to consider themBest wishes, Pete Hoefling President, StarCityGames.com [redacted]
