In response to the complaint *** *** has submitted regarding her copay for visit on October 3, 2017, a copay was applicable to her visit per her insurance explanation of benefits that was posted to her accountInsurance contracts do not specify if copays are required to be collected at time of
service or billed after service is renderedWe are within our contract guidelines to bill for such serviceHer copay is clearly displayed on her card that an office visit is a $copayThis would be applicable to a new patient, established patient, follow-up, etcWe do try to collect copays, coinsurances, deductible at the time of service but this is not always possibleSeveral statements were mailed to *** *** starting in December based on the address that she providedHowever, we did receive returned mail and had to correct address which delayed her statementSincerely, *** ***
