Central Hudson spoke with the customer to resolve her issue We sent her the following letter to confirm our conversation with her: [redacted] Dear [redacted] ***, We are responding to your recent NYS Revdex.com complaint # [redacted] regarding the cost of budget plan To avoid confusion on how our budget plan works I would like to explain the program I will also provide to you a breakdown of your actual costsPlease note the high costs during the cold month, due to the fact that your main source of heat for your home is electric.The budget is designed to level out your yearly costsTo avoid the seasonal fluctuations of energy bills that can be caused by hot or cold weather extremes, Budget Billing spreads your bill payments evenly over months (rather than our usual every-other-month billing plan.) On September *,a message was left on customer's voicemail to return our call On September **, Central Hudson contacted [redacted] again and spoke with her regarding her complaint She was advised how the basic service charge and rates are approved by the Public Service Commission Customer has recently moved to a new location where it looks like that location the usage is lower than the one she moved from; however, we cannot guarantee that her bill will be lower because it is based how her household uses electricity

Our Customer Service Representative called [redacted] to discuss his concerns and to learn more about the over person in his home to see what programs he/she may be eligible for [redacted] stated that he has filed his complaint and did not want to speak with her and he hung up the phone Central Hudson would be happy to discuss this further should [redacted] wish to He can contact Paula Coppin at [redacted]

I called [redacted] on and discussed her concerns I advised her to check with her local Post Office as she is receiving some of the correspondence we send and not others I reviewed her account and saw that she may be eligible for a program that we offer to assist with Monies owed in arrears Elise had to go as she was at work I advised I will call her back within the next days as well as send her an application for the program She was appreciative of the return call and said we can discuss the account further

Tell us why here Central Hudson has assisted [redacted] and provided a payment agreement that is in a current status At this time, [redacted] is not in jeopardy of termination of Service as long as she complies with the terms of the agreement which she signed If she has any further questions or needs, Central Hudson is more than happy to assist Thank you

Central Hudson's rate structure has already been explained to the *** ***. If she is not happy with that structure, she does have the option to purchase her supply charges from an alternate supplier. She can go to *** to learn more about it

Consumer Outreach Representative *** ** ** *** attempted to contact *** *** *** on both 1/**/and 1/**/2017. A message was left on *** voice mail at *** *** ** ** ***'s direct contact number was left in the message. We will continue to attempt
contacting ***. We will be more than happy to allow *** a payment agreement that is reasonable for her as well as Central Hudson. We will need to speak with her in order to do so

*** *** spoke with manager on 10/**/16, who set up a high bill investigation appointment for 10/**/She was also given the supervisor's direct phone number so she can contact her on 10/**/to discuss the results. A technician will be going out there this afternoon to speak personally
with her and discuss her concerns regarding higher usage. As for the monthly billing alternate months of estimating, that cannot be changed; however, *** *** can email or call in her actual readings every other month so she does not have to pay an estimated bill. If she does not give us the actual readings then she will have to pay the estimated bill. Thank you

I had wrote to the Revdex.com a few months ago regarding my Central Hudson accountThey had called me to resolve itSince then I have not received a noticeI called them Friday July ** to see what I had owed and to find out where my bill wasThey had told me that I owed $right away and that my power is scheduled for shut off this week, I am not sure how they are running this business but I cannot afford that right away!

In July of 2016 Central Hudson switched to monthly billing. With monthly billing, Central Hudson customers will continue to have their meters read every other month. In the months between actual meter readings, Central Hudson will send an estimated bill.  All customers were notified of...

this in 2016.  [redacted] is enrolled into our Extra Security Plan (ESP) which provides customers on a fixed income, an extended due date to pay their bill.  He used the Central Hudson website to get his balance by viewing the summary page.  The summary page did not provide the information that he is on the ESP plan with an extended due date, so it looked like he had 2 bills that were due, instead of one.  A customer service representative spoke with [redacted] and explained this to him.  He decided to remove himself from the ESP program and we have agreed to watch the billing for the next few months now that he has been removed from the program. He was provided a personal contact here at Central Hudson to help him review any bills going forward. Billing issues have been resolved. Tell us why here...

I spoke with [redacted] on 8/**/2017.  I have waived her late fees in the amount of $19.60 and her bill has been corrected and rebilled to 5/**/2017.  Venus is satisfied with this resolution.  Her final bill is now $468.43 and I will be emailing her final bill to her on...
