Review: Purchased a recliner in June, product delivered in July. After 2-3 days realized the chair was so uncomfortable and did not work properly when seated in it, that no one could sit in it for more than a few minutes. Made multiple calls to business as when leaving messages, most of the times my calls were not returned. Finally sent some one from the store to look at the chair, and he said it was "fine". I don't know how you can tell that in a few minutes. Chairs are to sit in, not look at. I was not happy with that so they were arranging for a manufacturer's representative to come and see the chair. Despite multiple calls and promises, I am still waiting. My salesman was apparently away on vacation; stated "Oh I can't believe they didn't contact you; I had it all set up before I left". Now it has been another week and I have not heard back from the store.
Initially, store said that "this is a custom order" so no returns. All furniture is custom; can not believe there are no consumer protections.
I feel I am being given the run around to delay beyond some sort of "deadline".
I have also filed a complaint with Discover as this is how we paid for the chair.Desired Settlement: Do not want the chair "repaired". I want to return it for a full refund.

Ms. [redacted] states the custom ordered chair from Flexsteel does not work properly and is so uncomfortable she cannot sit in the chair. Our salesperson, Sonny Hook, worked with [redacted] in our store showing her the quality of the Flexsteel chair (We have a sample Flexsteel chair that shows the springs & cushions). [redacted] was also interested in a lumbar support. We did not have a Flexsteel chair with a lumbar support on the floor for [redacted] to sit in but Sonny told her several times the lumbar support will give her additional support and the cushions will be firm. With this knowledge, [redacted] decided to custom order the Flexsteel chair with the lumbar support. [redacted] complained the chair was uncomfortable and did not work properly. We sent our furniture repairman out to look at the chair. He found the chair operates properly, with no mechanical issues. As I mentioned before, the chair has firm cushions in order to work with the lumbar support. [redacted] did not like this answer and continued to call Central Furniture to complain about the chair. Central Furniture contacted the manufacturer, Flexsteel, about [redacted] chair and asked them to send their representative out to look at the chair and to be sure it was working and built to Flexsteel's standards. The manufacturer's rep. confirmed the chair fully reclined, stayed back in several positions and found no defects. We have a copy of the written report but cannot attach to this website. It is Central Furniture and Flexsteel's position there is nothing wrong with the chair. Central Furniture has been in business for 34 years and prides itself in selling quality furniture and taking care of their customers. We have worked with [redacted] on this issue and feel she is unfairly trying to return a custom ordered chair. Please contact me directly if you need addtional information and with your findings.
