CCC designed and executed a residential landscaping project that included placement of stone retaining walls, lockstone patios and walkways, repair of concrete walkway and concrete retaining wall, regrading and placement of sod. Design flaws, deviation from accepted practices and substandard work lead to serious problems as outlined below:

- failure to evaluate soil conditions, perform excavation, or ensure appropriate drainage prior to installation of materials leading to significant heaving, large sink holes, soil erosion and shifting of stone/concrete from intended position
- reverse grading, directing water towards foundation instead of away
- installation of lockstone at an inappropriately high level relative to house foundation leading to entry of water into home directly through basement door
- burying house's wood siding, encouraging rotting
- burying house's brick exterior, creating conditions for water damage
- installation of sod above the grade of lockstone in a manner that traps water
- installation of concrete walkway without expansion joints leading to premature cracking
- failure/disintegration of concrete jointing material
- complete failure of concrete retaining wall repair with disintegration at repair site
- installation of eve downspout into fixed/concrete drain with inadequate frost protection leading to destruction of drain/downspout and deposition of water immediately adjacent to foundation
- inappropriate diversion of basement sump pump drainage adjacent to foundation
- abandonment of repair activities, leaving yard/lawn destroyed and large piles of excavated soil/clay on property

CCC's owner (director of the project) ceased communicating with the property owners in September, 2018 and has since avoided any attempts by the property owners to reestablish contact. He has reneged on prior commitments to rectify the problems with CCC's work.
