a contractual requirement by all insurance companies. The patient stated she would not pay her co-pay until after she had seen the doctor. When she was advised this was not allowed, she became upset with the receptionist and left the office canceling her appointment. Our office policy is to charge $50 if an appointment is canceled with less than 24 hours notice.
We have had no complaints from our patients regarding this office policy, and it is a common practice in medical offices. If there is a dispute most patients will call our office to resolve any issue that concerns them. Thank you for your time in this matter.
