I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , the resolution is satisfactory to me However it bears mention that the resolution provided from the business to the Revdex.com is the response given after the complaint was filed and very different in tone and expectation that was received on the phone prior to contacting the Revdex.com Thank you for your help in this matter Regards, [redacted] ***

Our customer brought in her laptop for replacement of broken hinges and case bottom. After completing the repairs as requested, the laptop would only display to an external monitor but not to the internal screen. We inspected our work but could find no fault. We verified the issue...
persisted with a new internal display and connecting display cable. We researched the issue and found it to be a common problem for this specific model of laptop where the internal display fails for no apparent reason. It is well documented that even attempts to resolve this issue by replacing parts with new hardware are usually unsuccessful. This problem coincidentally occurred while the laptop happened to be in our shop and technically our repair work was totally unrelated. We explained the situation to the customer, informed her that an attempted fix may not work out, but in a gesture of good will, offered to cover the cost of an attempted fix. We indeed attempted the fix, but unfortunately it did not resolve the problem.We waived all labor charges and inquired if the customer would be interested in a discounted price on a new laptop. She declined but appreciated our efforts. In the end, the customer was satisfied that we had done everything in our power to resolve the problem and treat her fairly.
