I purchased a cell phone case on 12/11/2019 as a Christmas gift for my daughter. The company return policy, as stated on receipt, is "NO REFUNDS ONLY EXCHANGE WITHIN 7 DAYS WITH RECEPT ALL REPAIR 30 DAYS WARRANTY". I spoke to the clerk and explained it was a gift, and asked if I would still be able to exchange after Christmas if my daughter didn't like it, or it didn't fit,etc..
He told me, it would NOT be a problem as long as I kept the receipt, but could ONLY exchange,not refund. I said that would be fine, but wanted to make sure the timing would be okay, since Christmas was more than 7 days away and we live about 45 mins away. Again, he said, NO PROBLEM.
The case didn't fit my daughter's phone, so we went back to location to exchange only, with receipt and were told that they couldn't do it because it was past 7 days! We were there on 2/1/2020, drove the 45 mins to get there and were turned away. I talked to the clerk and told him that when I bought it I was told it would be ok to exchange because it was a gift, he made a phone call, and told me he would give me 50% of the paid value towards another case! I said that wasn't acceptable, I wanted to exchange, but he would not do it. I told him again, that I SPECIFICALLY asked when I bought the case if I could exchange after Christmas and was told it would NOT be a problem if I had the receipt, which I did, but he told me they could not do that. It seems like they just lied to get a sale, then want to only give a partial credit, to get another sale.
