Celebrations In the Kitchen

My husband and I booked our daughters 9th birthday party to be held at celebrations in the kitchen on October *, 2019 and paid our deposit of $185 for her birthday which was to take place on April *,2020. Due to COVID-19 our party was cancelled by celebrations in the kitchen. We asked them for a full refund of our deposit given the circumstances, as many other places, activities, vacations and more have been cancelled and those companies have given back full refunds. My initial request was through email and it was denied. My husband tried speaking with Mike who is the owner and his wife and they were not accommodating at all and his wife was extremely rude and disrespectful to my husband. I waited a few weeks and asked again through email if we can have a refund given the circumstances and they never responded back to me. While I understand that this is a very difficult situation for many people and businesses however, there are hundreds of other companies that have refunded their customers hundreds and thousands of dollars back their money due to cancellations yet they are refusing to give me back my deposit of $185. To make matters worse, they refuse to respond back to me via email. Celebrations in the kitchen has proven to be a company that does not care or value their customers or future customers and that is evident through their actions. I would greatly appreciate if something can be done so that we can get our refund of $185 back. Thank you in advance for your time.
